    Abstract: Disclosed is a film sticking device that sticks a first film substrate and a second film substrate together on a curved-surface shape. The film sticking device includes a mold having a curved attachment surface formed into a desired curved-surface shape; an attracting and holding unit capable of relatively moving on the curved attachment surface and having plural vacuum chambers on which an attracting surface for attracting and holding the second film substrate is provided; and a suctioning unit capable of separately applying suction processing to the plural vacuum chambers. The suctioning unit starts, as the attracting and holding unit moves, the suction processing of the vacuum chamber corresponding to a position opposing the second film substrate and sequentially stops, as the second film substrate is stuck to the first film substrate, the suction processing of the vacuum chamber corresponding to the stuck second film substrate.

    Abstract: A panel is formed by laminating a pair of substrates with each other. A first seal material is provided on one of the substrates and a second seal material is provided to completely surround the first seal material. The pair of substrates is laminated with each other in a state where a cell space is formed therebetween and the first and second seal materials are sandwiched between the substrates. An inner space of the second seal material containing the cell space is depressurized through an opening provided outside the first seal material and inside the second seal material. A portion where the second seal material is provided is removed so that the cell space formed by the first seal material remains.

    Abstract: A head function evaluating apparatus designed to evaluate the function of a head. The apparatus allows the head to read out signals from a storage disk. The storage disk is mounted on a rotation shaft of a fluid bearing motor. The fluid bearing motor is employed to drive the storage disk for rotation. The fluid bearing motor is made smaller in size as compared with a so-called air spindle. In addition, the first and second flat surfaces are opposed to the front and back surfaces of the storage disk. The first and second flat surfaces serve to achieve so-called squeezing effect in the head function evaluating apparatus. This results in suppression of vibration of the rotating storage disk.

    Abstract: A path defines an opening smaller than a cell in a cell capturing apparatus. A negative pressure generating device is connected to the path so as to generate negative pressure within the path. A negative pressure controlling device is connected to the path so as to adjust the negative pressure within the path. A cell is caught at the opening of the path based on the negative pressure. The negative pressure controlling device serves to maintain the negative pressure constant within the path. Even if the negative pressure changes within the path based on drop or rise in the temperature within the path, for example, the negative pressure can be adjusted at a level suitable for the caught cell with the assistance of the negative pressure controlling device. The cell can reliably be kept immobilized at the opening of the path.
