  • Patent number: 11239508
Abstract: A battery pack includes: a cell stack; a first duct and a second duct configured to feed cooling air toward the cell stack; and a housing case. The first duct and the second duct extend in a first direction and are spaced apart from each other in a second direction, the first direction being parallel to a front-back direction of a vehicle in a mounted state in which the battery pack is mounted on the vehicle, the second direction being parallel to a width direction of the vehicle in the mounted state. The first duct is arranged on an outer side of the cell stack on one side in the second direction, and the second duct is arranged on an outer side of the cell stack on the other side in the second direction.

  • Patent number: 10833310
Abstract: A secondary battery includes: a battery element; a casing which accommodates the battery element; a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal provided to the casing and electrically connected to the battery element; and a cut-off portion which switches from a grounded state in which the casing and one terminal of the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal have an identical potential, to a cut-off state in which the casing and the one terminal are electrically cut off. The one terminal has a facing portion which faces the casing, and the cut-off portion is arranged between the facing portion and the casing. When the casing is externally short-circuited, the cut-off portion switches from the grounded state to the cut-off state by being deformed by heat generated as a short-circuit current flows.

  • Patent number: 9847182
Abstract: An electric storage apparatus includes a plurality of electric storage elements, a bus bar electrically connecting the plurality of electric storage elements, and a case housing the plurality of electric storage elements. Each of the electric storage elements extends in a predetermined direction and has a positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal at both ends in the predetermined direction. The plurality of electric storage elements are aligned in a plane orthogonal to the predetermined direction. The case has an opening portion configured to pass a heat exchange medium therethrough and extending in the predetermined direction. A portion of the bus bar extends in the predetermined direction and is disposed along a wall face of the case having the opening portion formed therein, the portion being disposed at a position different from a position of the opening portion.

  • Publication number: 20140154541
Abstract: An assembled battery including a plurality of single batteries, a fin shaped portion and a sheet member is provided. The fin shaped portion is disposed outside of the plurality of the single batteries. A gas exhaustion path is defined between the fin shaped portion and the plurality of a plurality of the single batteries. A gas discharged from the single batteries from the assembled battery is discharged from the assembled battery to an outside of the assembled battery through the gas exhaustion path in a battery abnormal condition. The sheet member is disposed between the gas exhaustion path and the plurality of the single batteries, and is an insulating member.
