  • Patent number: 5880881
Abstract: A real image mode finder optical system has an objective system constructed with an objective lens including a single lens with positive refracting power and a first reflecting member; an intermediate image plane; and an ocular system constructed with a second reflecting member and an eyepiece including a single lens with positive refracting power. This finder optical system satisfies the following conditions:-4<r1/r2<-1, r2<0where r.sub.1 and r.sub.2 are radii of curvature of the surfaces of the objective lens which are located on the object and image sides, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5870636
Abstract: A rangefinding device for a camera, in which a light projecting unit for projecting near-infrared light to an object and a light receiving unit for receiving object-reflected light reflected from an object are provided in such a manner as to be nearly in parallel with each other. The light receiving unit is provided with: a prism having a total reflection surface for reflecting almost all of object-reflected light having been incident thereon; and a light receiving element for receiving object-reflected light that is reflected by this total reflection surface of the prism. Further, the total reflection surface of the prism is formed so that a sum of an angle of incidence and an angle of reflection of object-reflected light reflected by the total reflection surface of this prism is greater than 90.degree. degrees.

  • Patent number: 5832325
Abstract: A stereo camera is designed to photograph images of an object on a plurality of frames and includes a device for securing focus detecting data of a distance to a chief object and a data recording device for recording parallax data derived from the focus detecting data or data capable of finding the parallax data on an image recording medium. A printing system for stereoscopic photography is such that images to be printed are recorded on the image recording medium by the stereo camera, and has a device for using the parallax data, as data independent of a photographic image, derived from the focus detecting data of the distance to the chief object or the data capable of finding the parallax data to automatically adjust the position of a combined image.

  • Patent number: 5721979
Abstract: A camera has a finder optical system and a range measuring optical system which are provided independent of a photographing optical system. The finder optical system includes an objective system having a positive refracting power, an image inverting optical member having a plurality of reflecting surfaces for erecting an image formed by the objective system, and an eyepiece system having a positive refracting power. At least one of the reflecting surfaces constituting the image inverting optical member is disposed as a path splitting member In the optical path of the objective system so that one of optical paths split by the path splitting member is used for the finder optical system and the other is used for the range measuring optical system. A positive refracting power is provided, as a whole, between the path splitting member and the imaging plane of the objective system, without any refracting power between the path splitting member and a range measuring element.
