  • Patent number: 11220451
Abstract: A glass sheet accommodating jig (1) accommodates a plurality of glass sheets (2) under a state in which the plurality of glass sheets (2) are arranged upright at intervals in a thickness direction in order to immerse the plurality of glass sheets (2) in a chemical tempering liquid. The glass sheet accommodating jig (1) includes a string-shaped body (7) being formed of at least one metal fiber. An end portion (2a) of the glass sheet (2) is supported by a V-shaped recess (7c) formed by intersection of a pair of string-shaped bodies (7a and 7b).

  • Publication number: 20150284284
Abstract: A cleaving method for tempered glass includes forming a scribe line in the tempered glass from a front surface side of the tempered glass in a thickness direction along a preset cleaving line, followed by cleaving the tempered glass with the scribe line being set as a boundary. The tempered glass includes a front surface-side compressive stress layer formed on the front surface side and having compressive stress applied thereto, a back surface-side compressive stress layer formed on a back surface side of the tempered glass in the thickness direction and having compressive stress applied thereto, and an intermediate tensile stress layer formed between the front and back surface-side compressive stress layers and having tensile stress applied thereto. The forming of the scribe line includes increasing a thickness of the front surface-side compressive stress layer at least in the vicinity of the preset cleaving line.

  • Patent number: 6933666
Abstract: Each of the flat surfaces of the pin-seal portions is formed such that the width thereof in the second direction gradually increases as far as the portion upper than the stud pin in the direction from the side of the face portion to the side of the seal end surface, and forms the symmetrical shape about the center portion in the second direction. Namely, the flat surface is formed so as to have the substantially half ellipse shape which has the major axis in the second direction, and protrudes toward the face portion.

  • Patent number: 6653774
Abstract: On an inner wall of a side wall portion of a funnel, a pair of protrusions are integrally formed as glass buildups at positions separated by a predetermined distance from an anode button toward a side of a neck tube. The pair of the protrusions are formed symmetrically on both sides of a virtual baseline extending to an seal edge surface and the neck tube through the center of the anode button. The virtual baseline is an intersection between a virtual plane including a tube axis and the inner wall, and passes through approximately the center of the seal edge surface in the lengthwise side.
