  • Method of positioning a door in an automobile body structure

    Abstract: An automobile door is mounted in a body structure via generally vertically spaced first and second hinges. The door is initially placed so as to be opposed to a door opening formed in the body structure, and at least one of the bolts for tightening the first hinge is provisionally tightened more tightly than any other bolts. Thereafter, the door is rotated about the more tightly pre-tightened bolt for proper positioning of the door. Finally, all the bolts are completely tightened.
