Abstract: There is provided a sheet processing apparatus that is capable of preventing a stapled sheet bundle from being misaligned at a side edge thereof or becoming torn or wrinkled when the sheet bundle is discharged. The sheet processing apparatus comprises a stapler that staples a sheet bundle comprising a plurality of sheets, downstream discharge rollers that discharge the sheet bundle, a driving motor that drives the downstream discharge rollers, and a controller that controls the driving device. The controller controls discharge of the sheet bundle in different ways between a case where the stapler staples the sheet bundle at one point thereof and a case where the stapler staples the sheet bundle at two points thereof.

A projecting unit folds the sheets upon nipping the sheets between two rollers by projecting between the two rollers so as to nip a part of the sheets where the margin is formed at first. The projecting unit projects to the margin of prescribed width of images formed at an image forming apparatus body to fold the plural sheets.

Abstract: This invention relates to a sheet processing apparatus for stapling multiple sheets with a stapling means and delivering the sheets in folio, comprising two rollers for folding the sheets in folio and projecting means for projecting between the two rollers to fold the sheets in sandwiching the sheets between the two rollers. One roller of the two rollers, at least, is made movable, and a cam member is further provided capable of correcting a projecting position by the projecting means according to traveling of the roller.
