Abstract: A communication method in a communication system, wherein the communication system includes a mobile terminal, a communication server that distributes data to the mobile terminal, and plural base stations that are capable of relaying the data, and one of the base stations among the plural base stations is responsible for relaying the data. The communication method includes transmitting, to the communication server, restriction instruction information to restrict a data transmission rate, by a first base station that is responsible for relaying the data among the plural base stations, and hand-overing, by the first base station, causing a second base station different from the first base station to take over the responsibility of relaying.

Abstract: A network quality monitoring device includes a packet receiving unit that receives packets used by a signaling protocol server device that is a server device for processing the signaling protocol, a signaling protocol packet extracting unit that extracts signaling protocol packets for controlling the signaling protocol from packets received by the packet receiving unit, a session management table storing unit that stores the session management tables, a signaling protocol quality analyzing unit that collects quality information regarding the network quality from a session management table corresponding to sessions that have transitioned to a predetermined communication state among the session management tables stored in the session management table storing unit and, based on the collection result, analyzes statistical information regarding the network quality.

Abstract: In a packet relaying apparatus, a label distribution protocol processor performs a label assignment so that labels which a label management portion of its own processor manages and which the label management portion of an adjoining packet relaying apparatus manages are assigned in mutually reversed orders within a label available range when a directionality is determined to be unidirectional. In addition, an incoming label and an outgoing label assigned to a unidirectional FEC can be used as the outgoing label and the incoming label assigned to another FEC opposite in direction to the former FEC.

Abstract: A voice gateway is used to transmit voice signals through the Internet. Upon receiving a connection request, the gateway calculates an end-to-end delay time and selects a proper route according to the calculated delay time to improve the quality of voice transmission. A gateway (10) on the caller side multicasts a connection request to gateways (20) on the receiver side. Each of the receiver gateways returns a response to the caller gateway. According to the response, the caller gateway calculates a compression/decompression allowance and selects a route that employs a compression rule whose compression or decompression time is shorter than the compression/decompression allowance.

Abstract: A note sorting and counting apparatus includes a draw-out unit for drawing out in succession notes accumulated in a stack, a discrimination unit for discriminating at least denomination of notes drawn out by the draw-out unit, a sorting unit for sorting notes according to the denomination of notes on the basis of the denomination discriminated by the discrimination unit, a plurality of temporary reserving units for temporarily reserving the notes sorted by the sorting unit according to the denomination of note, a judgement or determining unit for judging or determining whether the temporary reserving units are filled with notes, a corresponding plurality of containers for receiving notes accommodated in the temporary reserving unit according to the denomination of the stacked notes, and a control unit for causing the transfer of notes reserved in the temporary reserving units to their respective containers.

Abstract: A note sorting and counting apparatus comprises an ejecting device for ejecting notes one by one from a stack of notes, an identifying device for identifying the notes, a sorting device for sorting the notes into groups in accordance with the result of the identification, and a plurality of containers allotted to the respective groups, each container receiving the notes of the group to which it is allotted. The identification may be as to whether the note is obverse or reverse, and as to the denomination, and the notes may be sorted into groups comprising obverse notes of the respective denominations and a group comprising reverse notes. The identification may alternatively include one as to whether the note is normal or damaged, and the notes may then be sorted into a group comprising obverse and normal notes and a group comprising obverse and damaged notes.
