  • Patent number: 4912936
Abstract: A compressor controller of a refrigerating device comprises a power supply voltage detecting device, a voltage comparing device, and a compressor driving device. When the temperature in a compartment of the refrigerating device rises and the compressor is required to be driven to cool the compartment, the power supply voltage detecting device detects the voltage of the power supply which feeds power to the compressor. The voltage comparing device compares the power supply voltage with a reference voltage. When the power supply voltage is no lower than the reference voltage, the compressor driving device starts the compressor. The compressor controller also includes a compressor starting condition detecting device, a compressor halting device, and a voltage compensating device. The compressor starting condition detecting device detects the starting condition of the compressor by detecting the voltage or the current which is fed to the compressor by the power supply.

  • Patent number: 4858443
Abstract: A refrigerator having a quick cooling system which can cool food stored therein quickly by operating a refrigerating cycle regardless of refrigerator compartment temperature. The refrigerator includes a time setting device and a control device. By using the time setting device, the desired completion time of the quick cooling operation is set. The control device determines a time at which the quick cooling operation is to be started by subtracting a predetermined time period for which the quick cooling operation is carried out from the desired completion time. The control device compares a present time with the quick cooling operation starting time, and when the present time has reached the quick cooling operation starting time, starts the quick cooling operation automatically. Quick cooling operation is automatically started and completed at the desired time, preventing cooled food from heating again, for example by defrosting operation before being taken out.

  • Patent number: 4537041
Abstract: A refrigerator with a freezing chamber and a cold chamber, wherein the freezing chamber is cooled rapidly by a main, fan-type, cooling system and a secondary, direct-type, cooling system. The secondary cooling system includes a box-like cooler having a projecting plate for placing food products thereon to provide uniform cooling within the freezing chamber. The refrigerator compressor is controlled in accordance with the temperature of the freezing chamber so as to be efficiently operated in the freezing cycle. Gas coolant is directed via control valves in accordance with the temperature of the freezing and cold chambers.
