  • Patent number: 11660982
Abstract: In a fuel cell vehicle and a method of controlling the fuel cell vehicle, when a gas pressure in a high pressure tank becomes less than a first threshold pressure, the SOC of an energy storage device is increased to a margin SOC. When the gas pressure becomes a second threshold pressure which is lower than the first threshold pressure, the amount of fuel released from the high pressure tank is limited to prevent the occurrence of buckling, and limit the travel driving force by the motor to a required limit. At the time of limiting the travel driving force, electrical energy of the energy storage device is used to provide assistance in a manner that the travel driving force by the motor becomes the travel driving force of the required limit.

  • Patent number: 10794542
Abstract: A high pressure tank structure includes a high pressure tank, a pressure relief device, and a heat-resistant plate. The high pressure tank is capable of storing a fluid on an inside of a resin-made liner covered with a reinforced layer. The pressure relief device, when heated to a certain activating temperature, reduces an internal pressure of the high pressure tank. The heat-resistant plate is integrally attached to the high pressure tank, so as to be disposed facing the reinforced layer which is positioned at least on a bottom surface side when mounted in a mounting body.

  • Patent number: 9808949
Abstract: An edge portion of a bound material is provided with first and second lines. The first and second lines are spaced at a small interval and arranged in parallel to each other. The first line is arranged outside of the second line of the bound material. A control unit controls first and second drive mechanisms in such a manner that the edge portion of the bound material is cut at the first line by a trim cutter, then the trim cutter or the table is moved at the small interval in a moving direction toward the second line, and then the edge portion of the bound material is cut at the second line by the trim cutter.

  • Patent number: 9261239
Abstract: A pressure gas container includes a liner to store a gas, a reinforcing layer provided on an outer side of the liner, a boss attached to the liner, and an attachment attached to an outer surface of the liner. The boss has an opening through which the gas is introduced into the liner and through which the gas inside the liner is released. The attachment is to support the liner rotatably when the reinforcing layer is provided. At least one of the boss and the attachment has a gas release channel that allows communication between a gap formed between the outer side and an inner side of the reinforcing layer and a space outside the pressure gas container to release the gas having permeated through the liner and present in the gap between the liner and the reinforcing layer to the space.

  • Patent number: 8671768
Abstract: A remaining lifetime of a pressure vessel mounted on a fuel cell vehicle or the like and comprises a liner at its inner side and a reinforcing layer at its outer side can be predicted with high precision and in short time. An artificial imperfect structure is formed at an outer surface of the liner in a size capable of being maintained by a weakest part of a hydrogen gas tank throughout the total period of use of the hydrogen gas tank. A detector is, for example, comprised of a crack gauge intervening between the liner and the reinforcing layer, and is fixed to the outer surface of the liner close to the artificial imperfect structure. A crack length increases accompanying the increase of a pressure cycle of an internal pressure caused by usage of the hydrogen gas tank. The detector increases a resistance value accompanying a crack growth.

  • Patent number: 6269902
Abstract: A construction for mounting a subframe 1 to a vehicle body 5 includes a hollow collar 2 inserted into a pipe P constructing the subframe, the pipe being provided with an insertion hole 1a at a certain position along its thickness direction; a pair of substantially U-shaped brackets 3, 3 fixed to the pipe in such a manner that the hollow collar inserted through the insertion hole is held between the brackets; and a bolt 4 connecting the subframe to the vehicle body. The subframe may be mounted to the vehicle body at inclined angles. The brackets are mounted on the pipe such that a base portion 3a of each bracket is parallel in side view to a subframe mounting surface 5a of the vehicle body and allows the insertion of the bolt. The brackets are then fixed to the pipe at its side projecting portions 3b, 3b. One bracket adjacent to the vehicle body has a mounting surface 3d which allows surface contact with the subframe mounting surface of the vehicle body.

  • Patent number: 4348903
Abstract: First and second magnetic poles are provided, which have end surfaces brought close and in opposition to a material to be examined. These magnetic poles are magnetized by a DC exciter coil such that the magnetic poles have opposite polarities. The first magnetic pole is provided at its end surface with a pair of cumulatively connected transmitting coils, and the second magnetic pole is provided at its end surface with a pair of differentially connected receiving coils. The transmitting coils are connected to a pulser which generates a pulse current, and the receiving coils are connected to a differential amplifier. An electromagnetic ultrasonic wave generated by the transmitting coils are received by the receiving coils, amplified by the differential amplifier, and thereafter supplied to a synchroscope and an automatic detector.
