  • Publication number: 20180060563
Abstract: Even when specific information (first information, second information) about individual sensors is inadequate to identify each of the individual sensors, whether all the sensors coupled to a semiconductor device are authentic can be determined. The semiconductor device can be electrically coupled with plural sensors and is configured as follows. Registration information is generated based on first combined information composed of plural combined pieces of first specific information respectively about plural sensors coupled to the semiconductor device when making registration. The semiconductor device generates determination target information based on second combined information composed of plural pieces of second specific information respectively about plural sensors coupled to the semiconductor device when making determination and compares the determination target information with the registration information.

  • Publication number: 20110083161
Abstract: The vehicle includes electronic control units, and performs an authentication process to judge the validity of an external device outside the vehicle, e.g. a maintenance device, which tries accessing the electronic control unit. Based on the result of the judgment, the vehicle decides a range in which the maintenance device can access the electronic control unit. In the authentication, e.g. both the maintenance device and the vehicle use authentication microcomputers respectively. According to the invention, an external device outside the vehicle can be inhibited from making an unwanted access to the electronic control unit of the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20090133119
Abstract: A certification result obtained by a master device 2 for a slave device 3 is notified to a master data processing device 6 while making a part of determination result data supplied from a master certification device 5 to the master data processing device 6 accompany with the rest of the determination result data supplied from the master certification device 5 to the master data processing device 6 through the slave device 3. Even when the part of the determination result data and the rest of the determination result data are plain text, they are given from different routes 11 and 10. Accordingly, the confidentiality for the determination result can be enhanced as compared to the case where all of the determination results are given from the master certification device 5 to the master data processing device 6.

  • Patent number: 6504146
Abstract: An optical encoder is provided in which a disk is prevented from eccentric rotation. An optical encoder comprises a shaft (2) supported on a bearing (3) in a housing (1), a rotating disk (4) having a code pattern and fixed to the shaft (2), a photodetector element (12) which receives light passing through the rotating disk (4) from a light-emitting element (10) and converts it into an electric signal, and a substrate (13) on which is mounted a circuit for detecting a signal in the electric signal. The shaft (2) is inserted in a hole (4a) opened in the center of the rotating disk (4), the backside of which is seated on a step (2a) of the shaft (2). The optical encoder further comprises a spacer (5) fitted loosely over the shaft (2) and placed on an adhesive (6) spread on the rotating disk (4), a ring (7) for fixing the spacer (5) and the disk (4) tentatively to the shaft (2), and adhesive (8) spread on the spacer (5), the ring (7) and the shaft (2).

  • Patent number: 5946793
Abstract: At a time of disassembling and assembling stator windings of a dynamo-electric machine in which the stator windings fitted in slots formed to an inner periphery of a stator core disposed inside a stator frame are disassembled therefrom and conveyed outside the stator core successively and new stator windings are then conveyed into the stator core and assembled into the slots successively, a mounting apparatus is arranged between the slot and an inside conveyer for mounting the stator winding into the slot. The stator winding is disassembled from the slot into which the stator winding is inserted while receiving and holding the stator winding by a receiving member provided for the mounting apparatus. The stator winding is then moved to the inside conveyer from the mounting apparatus and then conveyed from the inside conveyer to an outside conveyer.
