  • Publication number: 20080195932
Abstract: Re-editing and redistributing a WWW document with services embedded therein according to a user's will. Portions of Web pages are extracted and combined together to compose a new document. If a portion to be extracted contains a dynamic content, its copy is kept alive, that is, the content of the copy is periodically updated. Object-oriented IntelligentPad technology is used to extract portions of Web documents and wrap them with a pad wrapper. The function of periodically accessing a server is included in the wrap of a dynamic Web document portion to compose an object called a view pad having an automatic, periodic refresh function.

  • Patent number: 7287036
Abstract: A method and apparatus for automatically accessing a WWW page is provided for realizing a function of automatically jumping to a desired page to automatically download desired data in spite of intervening pages which require a user to enter information, and a function of dealing with a change in configuration of an accessed page. In a web browser, a list structure is created for each displayed window, and all nodes under HTML displayed in a window corresponding to the list structure are copied and stored as node information. Further, when an event occurs with respect to an arbitrary node within a window, an address and event type of the node are recorded in the stored node information corresponding to the node. The record is comprised of a sequence of records of an event occurrence address and event type by using URL and window identifier as keys.

  • Patent number: 7206835
Abstract: A user operation log storing apparatus for investigating operations performed by a user, types of data handled by the user and contents of processing conducted by the user, and for saving acquired information through the investigation. The present invention provides a group of objects (VOs) for a user to access the WWW, database, etc. and conduct communications and for a service provider to readily compare and analyze acquired data. The VOs respectively hold as a log file an attribute thereof, results of user actions and an attribute value of a slot via which the VOs exchange data. The log files are sent to the server on the network, where they are classified according to users and stored in a time-series manner. Using the saved log file, the present invention also provides an environment as a VO for analyzing and utilizing the user's operation log.

  • Patent number: 7149963
Abstract: A system for constructing, in a storage device of a computer, data expressing a document to be revised as an XML document, in which a volume, a chapter, a clause, an item, a section, a sub-section, a paragraph and the like of the document to be revised are expressed as a tree structure is provided. An element corresponding to a branch node of tree structured data is assigned a set of a unique revision ID and an attribute representing a type of the revisions written in a list structure every time a revision is made and the element prior to the revision is saved so that a revision operation of the element is performed using the information.

  • Patent number: 7099919
Abstract: An information sharing method and apparatus using an object oriented technology are provided for mutually sharing any manipulation events in a shared environment which operates in a plurality of computers on a network. The method provides a plurality of objects to be used by users for information processing on their information processing apparatuses, and an environment in which the objects operate. Each of the objects transmits an event made thereto by an operator as a message. A shared field object is shared by a plurality of users, and one or more objects operate on the shared field object. These objects are distributed to the plurality of users to share the same environment among the users. A message of the event is distributed to each of the users through the shared field object to recall the event in the respective environments to share the operation of the object.

  • Publication number: 20020070936
Abstract: A three-dimensional graph display apparatus is provided for dynamically changing a display format for a three-dimensional graph. In a simulator of a three-dimensional object shape model wherein a three-dimensional object shape model is comprised of two objects, i.e., an object which has data related to properties of a target three-dimensional object (referred to as the “model object”) and an object having data required to display the object (referred to as the “display object”); data of a plurality of model objects can be linked to one another; and the model object can be shared by a plurality of display objects, three-dimensional point data saved in a database is retrieved and the retrieved three-dimensional point data is converted to three-dimensional objects and an object (container object) having the three-dimensional objects representing the three-dimensional point data as slot values in its model object is provided.
