  • Publication number: 20120006145
Abstract: A friction washer (70, 80, 90) is placed between a housing (10) and a pedal member (20) and exerts a frictional force against rotational movement of the pedal member (20). The friction washer (70, 80, 90) includes at least one displaceable portion (72, 75, 82, 85, 92, 95), which is adapted to be displaced relative to the rest of the friction washer (70, 80, 90) by a predetermined amount in a circumferential direction about a rotational axis (O) of the pedal member (20) upon rotation of the pedal member (20).

  • Patent number: 6273466
Abstract: A speed change shift device 5 comprises a device main body 7 and a shift lever 9 protruding from the device main body 7. An impact energy absorption structure for the device 5 is constructed such that the device main body 7 is fixed to vehicle body side brackets 4 via the impact energy absorption body A. The impact energy absorption body A is broken by an impact energy F applied to the device 5, whereby the device 5 is allowed to move in an impact energy applied direction.

  • Patent number: 5542512
Abstract: In a selector device for an automatic transmission system, a rotatable member is supported by a first pivot shaft, and a selector lever is tiltably supported by the rotatable member by a second pivot shaft extending substantially perpendicularly to the first pivot shaft. A base end of the selector lever is bifurcated into a pair of engagement claws, and a checker cam is positioned in a gap defined between the engagement claws. A slide member can be slid into between the checker cam and the associated engagement claw to prevent the tilting movement of the selector lever. Thus, the slide member which is typically associated with a shift lock mechanism can prevent the tilting movement of the selector lever and, hence, the shifting of the selector lever from the P range position. Because the force applied to the selector lever is supported by the slide member as a compressive load, no substantial stress is applied to the actuator or the linkage provided between the actuator and the slide member.
