  • Publication number: 20070177993
Abstract: An electric pump may comprise a pump case (110, 150) having a pump chamber. An impeller 143 may be rotatably disposed within the pump chamber. The impeller 143 may include a magnetized cylindrical portion 145. A stator 133 may be disposed opposite to the cylindrical portion 145 of the impeller 143. The stator 133 may drive the impeller 143 by applying magnetic forces to the cylindrical portion 145 of the impeller 143. A shaft 146 may be formed integrally with the impeller 143. One end of the shaft 143 may be rotatably supported with respect to the pump case.

  • Patent number: 5781092
Abstract: The invention is directed to an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which includes a first case which has at least an opening portion at its bottom, a primary winding and a secondary winding which are received in the first case, a secondary terminal which is electrically connected to the secondary winding and placed within the first case in the vicinity of the opening portion at the bottom of the first case, and a second case which has a cover portion connected with the opening portion at the bottom of the first case, and which has a cylindrical portion extending from the cover portion. The ignition coil further includes a high-tension terminal which has a shaft held on a central axis of the cylindrical portion of the second case, and which is electrically connected to the secondary terminal. Then, a synthetic resin is filled in the first case and the second case connected therewith so as to fix and insulate the primary winding, secondary winding, secondary terminal and high-tension terminal.

  • Patent number: 5764124
Abstract: The invention is directed to an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine which includes a housing having therein a first core, a second core which is received in the housing and magnetically connected to the first core for forming a magnetic path therewith, a bobbin having a cylindrical portion for receiving therein the second core with an end face thereof exposed to the outside of the cylindrical portion, a primary winding wound around the bobbin, a secondary winding wound around the primary winding in co-axial relationship therewith, and a permanent magnet which is disposed between the first core and the second core. The permanent magnet has a planar surface connected to the end face of the second core, and an extending end portion which extends out of the end face of the second core. The housing and the bobbin are arranged to enclose the extending end portion of the permanent magnet.

  • Patent number: 5148678
Abstract: An exhaust gas flow control valve for an internal combustion engine comprises a body, a diaphragm actuator and a bracket. The body is equipped with an exhaust passage and a valve member arranged in the exhaust passage. The bracket is equipped with an actuator mounting seat for mounting the diaphragm actuator and a body mounting seat connected to the body. The diaphragm actuator is equipped with a casing connected to the actuator mounting seat of the bracket, a diaphragm cased in the casing and a rod protruding from the diaphragm and out of the casing for actuating the valve member in accordance with the action of the diaphragm. Between the actuator mounting seat of the bracket and the diaphragm of the diaphragm actuator, moreover, there is formed an insulating layer for insulating the heat to be transferred to the diaphragm.
