  • Patent number: 7722423
Abstract: A plasma display panel (PDP) and a method of manufacturing the same suppresses variation in the height of the intersecting barrier walls with a simple method and that prevents cross talk from occurring between the discharge cells. A concave part is formed at a position contacting an intersecting part of a first barrier wall before baking and a second barrier wall before baking orthogonal to the first barrier wall before baking. When such concave part is formed, the values of the surface area per volume of the intersecting part and the surface area per volume of the first barrier wall before baking and the second barrier wall before baking between the intersecting part and the intersecting part adjacent to the intersecting part become substantially equal. As a result, the height of the intersecting part does not become high after baking, a barrier wall of aligned height is obtained, and cross talk does not occur between the discharge cells.

  • Publication number: 20090280714
Abstract: A method for producing a plasma display panel, a formation of the front-sided dielectric layer comprising the steps of: (i) locally supplying a low-melting point frit material onto a predetermined region of the substrate having the electrode thereon to locally form a low-melting point frit material layer; (ii) heating the low-melting point frit material layer to form a local glass layer therefrom; (iii) supplying a dielectric material over the substrate, covering the electrode and the local glass layer therewith to form a dielectric material layer; and, (iv) heating the dielectric material layer to form a dielectric layer therefrom, wherein a softening temperature of the local glass layer is lower than and equal to a softening temperature of a sealing material to be used for a panel sealing by which the front panel is sealed with a rear panel.

  • Patent number: 6579384
Abstract: A ball for use in a constant-velocity joint, which is adapted to be interposed between an inner race and an outer race for transmitting rotational power therebetween, is produced by nitriding a surface of a ball made of bearing steel or a material equivalent thereto, and processing the nitrided ball for increased resistance to a crushing load. The nitrided ball is processed for increased resistance to a crushing load by tempering the ball at a temperature ranging from 180 to 230° C. The surface hardness of the ball should preferably be adjusted in the range from HRC 60 to 64.
