  • Patent number: 9112391
Abstract: A motor cooling device having good cooling performance, which is adapted to promote heat transfer between a coil end and a coil end cover even if the flowing amount of oil is small. A heat of a stator is withdrawn by the oil flowing around the coil end. For this purpose, the motor cooling device comprises a flow path formed between an outer face of the coil end and an inner face of the coil end cover, and a flow rate adjusting unit for changing a cross-sectional area of the flow path by moving the coil end cover toward the coil end or away from the coil end. The flow rate adjusting unit widens the cross-sectional area of the flow path in case a feeding amount of the oil to the flow path is relatively large, and narrows the cross-sectional area of the flow path in case a feeding amount of the oil to the flow path is relatively small.

  • Patent number: 8971164
Abstract: An optical component for an optical pick-up for converging a laser beam having a particular wavelength onto a recording layer of an optical disc. The optical component comprises a base material formed of a resin composition, an undercoating which is formed of three layers of thin films having a same main constituent and is formed on a top surface of the base material, and a functional thin film formed on a top surface of the undercoating. In this configuration, each of a first layer and a third layer of the undercoating is a thin film formed without introducing oxygen, and a second layer is a thin film formed while introducing oxygen. A film thickness of the undercoating falls within a range of 160 nm to 270 nm, and film thicknesses of the thin films constituting the undercoating are substantially equal to each other.

  • Patent number: 8596393
Abstract: A drive unit is provided. The drive unit forms a power transmitting path that includes a driving shaft between a wheel/tire assembly and a driving power source provided separately for each wheel/tire assembly, and transmits power via the driving shaft. The drive unit has a weak portion, which is less durable than any other portion in the power transmitting path with respect to external force applied to the wheel/tire assembly, formed on the driving shaft.

  • Patent number: 8529401
Abstract: A control system for driving motor configured to synchronize rotor phases of a plurality of driving motors of wheels using a single inverter. The control system comprises driving motor connected with a wheel to drive the wheel; a clutch interposed between the driving motor and the wheel; and a current control means connected with the driving motor to supply current thereto. A switching unit switches electrical connection in a manner to supply the current to both of the driving motors from one of the current control unit by interrupting the current supply from the other current control unit. The clutch interrupts torque transmission in case the switching mechanism switches the electrical connection in a manner to supply the current to both of the driving motors from one of the current control unit to drive the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20090015730
Abstract: A projector sets a projection range defined as the range occupied by the projection image on a screen (projected surface) and displaces the projection range in the screen coordinate system (projected surface coordinate system) in the case that an instruction on displacing the projection image is accepted. Furthermore, the projector converts the coordinates of the projection range after the displacement in the screen coordinate system into the coordinates in the panel coordinate system, thereby obtaining the location of the range on the image forming panel corresponding to the projection range on the screen. The projector deforms the image so that the original projection image is fitted in the range corresponding to the projection range, forms a panel image containing the deformed image using the image forming panel, and projects the projection image.

  • Patent number: 7082515
Abstract: A C element controls a pipeline register and successively transfers data packets. When a dead-lock state occurs, a data packet in the pipeline register is erased by a master reset signal, a host transfer flag operating circuit overwrites a data packet in the pipeline register so that it has a host transfer flag at the “H” level, and thereafter, when the host transfer flag is detected in the subsequent stage, the data packet is transferred to the host.

  • Publication number: 20060007115
Abstract: In a display apparatus for presentation including an image display device 30 that allows for moving a selection marker across a plurality of menu items arranged in vertical and horizontal directions and displayed on a screen 1 in accordance with received angular velocity information, a menu item to which the selection marker should be moved is determined in accordance with the number of cycles of angular velocity sampling during which the move distance of the pointing device obtained for every sampling cycle from the angular velocity information exceeds a predetermined value continuously. This improved the inconvenience to use with a conventional pointing device in which a distance by which an object should be moved on the display screen is proportional to the entire distance over which the pointing device was moved, calculated from angular velocity; thus, the operator has to tilt the remote controller incorporating a gyroscope to a large extent to move the object by a long distance on the screen.
