Publication number: 20070182061Abstract: A manufacturing method of a support body for pneumatic run-flat tires, which can make the structures of a mold and a vulcanizer simpler. A metallic support portion has three parts including a center portion and outside portions of both sides. A rubber leg portion is vulcanized and formed so as to be integrated to the outside portion. The center portion and the outside portions are coupled by welding or the like. A mold to form and vulcanize the leg portion can therefore be made smaller. Moreover, since the left and right leg portions can be vulcanized and formed by a single mold, the structure of the mold is simpler.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 6, 2004Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Kazuya Hatakeyama, Eizaburo Oda, Yoichiro Kondo, Tatsuo Matsuo, Akio Minari

Publication number: 20060096696Abstract: In the lamination of band-shaped uncured rubber materials to form a laminated rubber member having a given sectional shape by helically winding a band-shaped uncured rubber material extruded through an extruder on a rotating support, two or more rubber compositions indicating different moduli after the curing are used as a rubber material fed to the extruder, and a first rubber material is extruded through the extruder and helically wound on the support to form a first rubber layer, and the first rubber material and a second rubber material are continuously and simultaneously through the extruder so as to stepwise or gradually increase a blending ratio of the second rubber material to the first rubber material while holding the same extrusion sectional shape and helically wound on the first rubber layer while overlapping with at least a part of the first rubber layer to form a second rubber layer.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2005Publication date: May 11, 2006Applicant: BRIDGESTONE CORPORATIONInventors: Masaharu Oku, Yuichiro Ogawa, Kazuya Hatakeyama

Patent number: 5140055Abstract: A rubber composition containing a specifically limited imidazole compound or imidazoline compound, or benzimidazole or its specifically limited derivative has a large tan .delta. at high temperature range, and a tire having a tread using such rubber composition is prevented from being lowered in the value of tan .delta. due to the temperature rising during the running and has an improved grip performance during the high speed running. The use of Bronsted acid in combination with the imidazole, imidazoline or benzimidazole can obviate the drawback of poor scorch resistance of a rubber composition containing the imidazole, imidazoline or benzimidazole alone, and the resulting rubber composition has a very large tan .delta. at high temperature range, and a tire having a tread using the rubber composition has a remarkably improved grip performance during the high speed running.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 1991Date of Patent: August 18, 1992Assignee: Bridgestone CorporationInventors: Yasushi Hirata, Kazuya Hatakeyama
