Abstract: A subcutaneous fat measuring unit measures the subcutaneous fat thickness by pressing a predetermined face against the living body surface. A pressing pressure measuring unit measures the pressure applied from the subcutaneous fat measuring unit to the living body surface, and a database holds information on the relationship among the values of a plurality of subcutaneous fat thicknesses in the condition where no pressure is applied to the living body surface, the pressure applied to the living body surface with respect to each of the plurality of subcutaneous fat thicknesses and the subcutaneous fat thickness in a condition where the pressure is applied.

Abstract: A subcutaneous fat thickness measuring apparatus includes: a light source section that irradiates a surface of a living body with plural light rays having different central wavelengths; a light receiving section that receives the plural light rays of different wavelengths emerging from the surface of a living body and determining the quantities of the plural light rays received; and a calculator section that calculates the thickness of subcutaneous fat of the surface of a living body from the quantities of the plural light rays received measured by the light receiving section using a previously determined relationship among subcutaneous fat thicknesses, blood concentrations in subcutaneous fat and quantities of plural light rays having different central wavelengths.

Abstract: An optical biological information measuring apparatus includes a measuring surface to be placed on the surface of a living body, a mark display section which displays a mark at a region to be measured on the surface of the living body, a light-emitting section which irradiates the living body with light of a predetermined wavelength and a light-receiving section which receives light irradiated onto the living body and returned from the living body, and measures information on the living body based on the received light. The optical biological information measuring apparatus is capable of measuring biological information with improved alignment accuracy.

Abstract: A compact apparatus of measuring biological information using light capable of measuring biological information with high reproducibility and accuracy is provided.
