In response to a request signal from the vehicle unit, the portable unit transmits a response signal including an ID code and the instruction of the registered automatic door-opening operation. The vehicle unit unlocks a vehicle door without any manual door-unlocking operation by a user and automatically opens the vehicle door, when the response signal includes the instruction and the ID code matches a predetermined ID code.

    Abstract: A lighting control apparatus includes a portable device, an interior antenna, an exterior antenna, a controller, and a lighting device. The interior antenna has a communicating area at an inside of a vehicle compartment and an exterior antenna has a communicating area at an outside of the vehicle compartment. The controller determines a position of the portable device through one of the interior antenna and the exterior antenna when the portable device is in the communicating area of the one of the interior antenna and the exterior antenna. The lighting devise is disposed at a roof of the vehicle adjacent to a door of the vehicle and illuminates one of the inside of the vehicle compartment and the outside of the vehicle compartment in accordance with the position of the portable device determined by the controller.
