    Abstract: A battery includes a wound electrode assembly. The wound electrode assembly has a flat shape. The wound electrode assembly includes a first separator, a positive electrode plate, a second separator, and a negative electrode plate. The first separator, the positive electrode plate, the second separator, and the negative electrode plate are stacked in this order and then wound spirally. In a cross section perpendicular to a winding axis of the wound electrode assembly, the first separator has a first winding start edge inside an innermost circumference of the wound electrode assembly; the second separator has a second winding start edge inside the innermost circumference of the wound electrode assembly; the first winding start edge faces the second winding start edge with the winding axis interposed therebetween; and the first winding start edge is located apart from the second winding start edge.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a technology for preventing the generation of a pyrochlore phase, which is an impurity phase, in forming a PZT thin film by sputtering, without using a conventional seed layer. The present invention provides a PZT thin film laminate including: a Si substrate 10; a TiOx layer 4 serving as a platinum-adhesion layer on the Si substrate 10; a Pt electrode layer 5 on the TiOx layer 4; a Ti thin film layer 6 on the Pt electrode layer 5; and a PZT thin film layer 7 on the Ti thin film layer 6. The Ti thin film layer 6 can have a thickness of 1 nm or more and 10 nm or less.

    Abstract: A film-forming apparatus capable of discharging a feedstock gas and a reactive gas to an inner side of the vacuum chamber by more effectively cooling the gases without mixing them in comparison with the conventional art. A discharge plate having a first face exposed inside the vacuum chamber is provided with a plurality of feedstock gas introduction holes and a plurality of reactive gas introduction holes penetrating the discharge plate. A plurality of grooves having the feedstock gas introduction holes located on the bottom face are formed in the second face opposite to the first face of the discharge plate, a top plate that covers the groove is arranged over the second face, and the feedstock gas through-hole formed in the top plate and the feedstock gas introduction hole are connected to each other with the first auxiliary pipe.
