  • Method of manufacturing a windshield having a coating of varying thickness

    Abstract: A windshield for a two-wheeled motor vehicle, or the like, having a predetermined shape formed from a resin, at least a portion of the windshield carrying a hard coated layer thereon. The hard coated layer has a varying thickness. The windshield is manufactured by forming a hard coated layer on a windshield base molded from a resin and having a predetermined shape by dipping the base in a coating solution, and then withdrawing the base from the solution at a varying speed. Spray coating may also be used.
