Abstract: A portable cellular phone is provided which is capable of surely detecting a state of folding of phone bodies by detection of a weak magnetic field produced by a receiver. A first phone body has a Hall integrated circuit (IC) adapted to detect a magnetic flux formed by a receiver. When the first phone body and a second phone body are folded closed, a magnetic flux density of the magnetic flux that is formed by the receiver and passes through the Hall IC is changed by a magnetic material placed in the second phone body.

Abstract: A telephone system having a main terminal connected to a telephone cable and at least one wireless remote handset terminal. The telephone system includes: a receiver for receiving caller line identification (CLI) information for a call transmitted across the telephone cable; and a transmitter for transmitting the CLI information for the call that is received to the wireless remote handset terminal that is registered, so that the remote handset terminal displays the CLI information. Wherein the CLI information that is received is stored in a memory only if a remote handset terminal that is registered in the main terminal is not available when the CLI information for the call is received.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a cellular phone provided with a drive mode, which includes means for selecting the drive mode and executing the drive mode, means for setting end time of the drive mode when the drive mode is executed, means for transmitting information of the drive mode setting and information of the end time to a service center, means for notifying approaching to the end time before the end time by a predetermined time by an alarm, means for resetting end time of the drive mode when the drive mode is executed, and means for retransmitting information of the reset end time to the service center.

Abstract: A mobile wireless terminal device comprising a speech codec circuit, a channel codec circuit, a modulator/demodulator circuit and a radio circuit, which is connected to a base station by radio. A ROM (or RAM) stores a plurality of telephone tone data having different contents. The telephone tone data is read from the ROM (or RAM) in an order that has been set in advance when a call is received. The data is converted into sound and the speech codec circuit outputs the sounds from a speaker. The plurality of telephone tone data reflects the intentions of the user, thus ensuring the user to know whether his device or other's device is receiving a call.

Abstract: An apparatus for recording and replaying a message received from a calling party through a telephone line is disclosed. Messages received from a plurality of calling parties are stored in a memory. The messages stored in the memory are replayed for each of calling parties using caller information. The received messages can be continuously replayed for each of calling parties to allow easy understanding of the messages for the same calling party.

Abstract: A portable telephone has an external earphone set electrically connected thereto by a jack plug and socket. The earphone set includes a microphone, at least one speaker, and a remote control unit having a display and a control switch. The portable telephone performs a calling operation depending on an operation of the control switch. When a destination phone number is input by means of voice recognition, it is displayed on the display for check. The dialing is started by the voice input. Further, the input phone number can be corrected by means of the control switch and the voice input.

Abstract: An internal ROM of a CPU stores in advance a plurality of check start addresses and a skip value. The internal ROM of a CPU also stores a storing address that is determined from among retrieval addresses obtained by sequentially adding the skip value to the check start address. The external ROM stores a check sum in each storing address, where the check sum is calculated to data in each retrieval address that is determined for each combination of the check start address and the skip value. For checking the external ROM, data of retrieval addresses that are determined with a check start address and a skip value of a selected combination are read and calculated with check sum. Then the calculated check sum and the check sum stored in the storing address are compared. If they are the same each other, the external ROM is decided as normal.

Abstract: A TDMA mobile telephone apparatus which has a delay equalizer for equalizing necessary data and outputting equalized data and captures data in a predetermined slot from a signal including a plurality of slots, including: a storage circuit for storing received data and sending the received data to the delay equalizer; a reception position changing circuit for correcting a capture position of the received data by performing slot synchronization in accordance with position correction data from the delay equalizer when a position of data sent from the delay equalizer is offset; a counter circuit for outputting a count value of a reference clock from a clock pulse generation circuit in determining a width of a reception window; and comparison circuit device for determining the number of data to be stored in the storage circuit and the width of the reception window.
