  • Patent number: 6522062
Abstract: A fluorescent display device of the plane grid type capable of reducing accumulation of charges on an insulating layer, to thereby prevent an electron shading phenomenon and permit electrons emitted from a filament toward anode electrodes to be uniformly spread in a plane-like manner on both sides of the filament. A first substrate is formed thereon with stripe-like thin-film anode electrodes and stripe-like thin-film grids in a matrix-like manner through a thin-film insulating layer. The insulating layer and grids are formed with openings. Phosphors are deposited on portions of the anode electrodes exposed through the openings. The grids are formed into a height equal to or smaller than that of the phosphors. A second substrate is formed thereon with back electrodes for controlling emission of electrons from filaments.

  • Patent number: 6509693
Abstract: A filament core wire capable of being mounted while having tension at a predetermined level applied thereto without an expensive anchor and without applying unnecessary tension thereto. The filament core wire is provided at a part thereof with spring and welded sections. The sections each are covered with a heat-decomposable block element made of acrylic resin or the like. Also, the core wire has a carbonate deposited thereon. The core wire is mounted on a mounting position by removing the block element from the welded section of the wire arranged on the fixing position by heating and then welding the welded section to a fixing spot of the fixing position. Then, block element is removed from the spring section by heating. This permits the filament core wire to be stretchedly arranged at the mounting position while keeping tension applied to the core wire to provide it with elasticity.

  • Patent number: 5994008
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for forming a fluorescent film for a display and a method of forming a fluorescent film for forming a display surface of a display unit. The composition for forming a fluorescent film for a display has an aqueous medium in which photosensitive resin having a styryl pyridium photosensitive group having an internal salt structure and a fluorescent material which easily reacts with acid are dispersed. The composition is applied to the display surface of a display unit so that a fluorescent layer is formed. Then, the fluorescent material layer is developed to form the fluorescent material layer into a predetermined pattern, and then the fluorescent material layer formed into the predetermined pattern is baked so that a fluorescent film is formed.
