  • Patent number: 8961411
Abstract: The object is to seek a position for an insertion opening through which a treatment tool inserted inside a body cavity may reach an affected area while avoiding an obstacle. A first light emitting portion placed in an insertion portion applies light to an affected area inside a body cavity. A second light emitting portion placed in the insertion portion applies light to an inner wall of the body cavity toward the opposite side of the first light emitting portion. At this time, a light pathway on which the light from the first light emitting portion and the second light emitting portion will not strike the obstacle (e.g., an organ outside than the affected area, etc.) inside the body cavity is searched for. By making, in the position that the light from the second light emitting portion strikes, an insertion opening for inserting a treatment tool, the treatment tool can reach the affected area without interfering with the obstacle.

  • Patent number: 6407971
Abstract: A mechanism for preventing the disengagement of a slide member from a lid during recording of signals on a disk comprises a restraining piece mounted on a chassis and retractably movable toward the slide member, and a latch member mounted on the slide member movably along the direction of movement of the restraining piece for the restraining piece to come into contact therewith. The latch member is movable between a locking position in which the latch member is engaged with a cabinet by being pushed by the restraining piece to prevent the movement of the slide member when signals are recorded on the disk and a standby position in which the latch member is free from the pushing contact of the restraining piece to permit the movement of the slide member in a mode other than the recording. The restraining piece and the chassis are movable along the direction of movement of the slide member within a range in which the restraining piece is in pushing contact with the latch member in the locking position.

  • Patent number: 5209275
Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid dispensing apparatus which includes a detecting element for detecting the liquid from the vaporized gas surrounding the remaining liquid in a storage tank to be supplied, where the detecting element is disposed at the output end of a liquid supply line, and a discriminator for discriminating the signals and information obtained from such a detecting element. The discriminator generates a lock signal to be fed to a locking means for allowing suspension of the supply of liquid based on a signal generated in the discriminator and fed to the locking means. The detection element includes a first electrode, a second electrode, a gas-sensing member connected to the first electrode and connected to the second electrode, which gas-sensing member is formed of a resin material including a conducting material which furnishes an impedance change upon contacting the vaporized gas of the liquid to be detected.
