  • Publication number: 20240075300
Abstract: A medical device includes a motion sensor configured to produce a motion signal and a control circuit configured to set sensing control parameters and sense atrial events from the motion signal during ventricular cycles according to the sensing control parameters. In some examples, the control circuit is configured to determine a feature of the motion signal for at least some ventricular cycles, determine a metric of the motion signal based on the determined features, and adjust at least one of the sensing control parameters based on the metric.

  • Publication number: 20230136887
Abstract: A medical device is configured to identify a first group of cardiac events, determine a cardiac event interval based on the first group of cardiac events and determine whether the cardiac event interval is less than a threshold interval or greater than the threshold interval. The medical device is configured to select a first blanking period duration if the cardiac event interval is less than the threshold interval or a second blanking period duration if the cardiac event interval is greater than the threshold interval.

  • Publication number: 20220401741
Abstract: A medical having a motion sensor is configured to set an atrial event sensing parameter used for sensing atrial event signals from a motion signal produced by the motion sensor. The medical device sets an atrial event sensing parameter by applying a sensing window during each one of multiple ventricular cycles, determining a feature of the motion signal during the sensing window for at least a portion of the ventricular cycles, and setting the atrial event sensing parameter based on the determined features. The medical device may sense the atrial event from the motion signal according to the atrial event sensing parameter.

  • Publication number: 20220323768
Abstract: A medical device is configured to determine a rate smoothing pacing interval based on at a ventricular cycle length ending with a ventricular pacing pulse and determine a post-sense ventricular pacing interval based on a ventricular cycle length ending with a sensed ventricular event signal. The medical device may be configured to start a ventricular pacing interval set to the post-sense ventricular pacing interval in response to the sensed ventricular event signal and generate a ventricular pacing pulse in response to the expiration of the post-sense ventricular pacing interval.

  • Publication number: 20220176127
Abstract: A pacemaker is configured to operate in an atrial synchronous ventricular pacing mode and, after expiration of a conduction check time interval, switch to an asynchronous ventricular pacing mode that includes setting a ventricular pacing interval to a base pacing rate interval. The pacemaker is further configured to determine when atrioventricular block detection criteria are satisfied during the asynchronous ventricular pacing mode and, responsive to the atrioventricular block detection criteria being satisfied, switch back to the atrial synchronous ventricular pacing mode.
