  • Publication number: 20180178790
Abstract: A collision determination device for determining the probability of a collision between an own vehicle and a target in the predetermined determination area surrounding the own vehicle includes an orientation detection unit for detecting the orientation of the target relative to the own vehicle, an image sensor for capturing images surrounding the own vehicle, an angle calculation unit for calculating an angle ?0 formed by the movement direction of the own vehicle and the movement direction of the target, and a collision determination unit which uses image data acquired from the image sensor to calculate the state of a lane compartment line, and determines the probability of a collision between the own vehicle and the target based on the angle ?0 and the calculation result of the lane compartment line.

  • Publication number: 20180182247
Abstract: A vehicle collision avoidance support apparatus includes a state determination unit configured to determine whether or not there is a state where a moving object proceeding in a direction intersecting with a traveling direction of a vehicle may exist; a first sensor configured to detect an object in front of the vehicle; and an avoidance operation control unit configured to cause the vehicle to perform a predetermined avoidance operation for avoiding a collision according to a detection result of the first sensor within a determination region in front of the vehicle. The avoidance operation control unit uses a region that is wider in a direction perpendicular and horizontal to the travelling direction as the determination region when it is determined that there is a state where the moving object may exist in comparison with when it is determined that there is no state where the moving object may exist.

  • Publication number: 20180162394
Abstract: In a driving assistance device, a distance information is acquired based on an image acquired by an imaging device mounted on a vehicle. The distance information includes a relative distance of a preceding vehicle in a travelling direction of the own vehicle, relative velocity thereof, and acceleration information thereof including relative acceleration. A time required until the own vehicle collides with the preceding vehicle is calculated with consideration of m the acceleration information as a predicted collision time. It is determined whether or not the preceding vehicle is in a deceleration state by using the relative velocity. Further it is determined whether or not a collision possibility between the own vehicle and the preceding vehicle exists, and it is also determined to use the is predicted collision time on the condition that the preceding vehicle is determined to be in the deceleration state and the collision possibility is determined to exist.

  • Patent number: 9444285
Abstract: A charge controller is used for a vehicle equipped with a rotating machine, a main battery for storing electrical power supplied to the rotating machine, a power storage device, and a solar power generator. The charge controller includes a power converter, a first charging section, a step-up section, and a second charging section. The power converter is interposed between the solar power generator and the storage device. The first charging section controls the power converter to store electrical power generated by the solar power generator in the storage device. The step-up section steps up and outputs the power stored in the power storage device to the main battery. The second charging section controls the step-up section to charge the main battery with the power stored in the power storage device.

  • Publication number: 20140015485
Abstract: A vehicle is configured to be able to charge an electrical storage device using an external power supply outside the vehicle. A charger receives electric power supplied from the external power supply to charge the electrical storage device. A current sensor detects a current input to or output from the electrical storage device. During external charging, when the charger and the auxiliary load are turned off and a determination condition for determining that the current (IB) is zero on the basis of the value detected by the current sensor is satisfied, the controller carries out offset learning of the current sensor.
