  • Patent number: 5987337
Abstract: A radio pager of the present invention includes battery terminals each having an inductance component. The pager therefore reduces the fall of antenna efficiency as far as possible without resorting to any extra part. In addition, a coin type battery is located in the vicinity of short bars included in the pager so as to prevent the antenna efficiency from decreasing.

  • Patent number: 5909074
Abstract: The present invention is provided with a motor having a rotary shaft. A weight is fixed to a motor through guide pins formed to the rotary shaft. Each of springs has one end connected to the rotary shaft and the other end connected to the weight. The guide pins guide the vertical movement of the weight with respect to the rotary shaft. Holes are formed in the weight and the guide pins are pierced therethrough. A hook is formed to a tip of each guide pin to prevent the weight from coming off the guide pins when the weight is rotated. With the above-described arrangement, in the vibration motor according to the present invention, the eccentric quantity of the weight with respect to the rotary shaft becomes small by the springs when the rotation of the weight is started. The starting torque of the motor can be, therefore, small.

  • Patent number: 5737043
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel holding metal fixture that prohibits the flow of solder through a gap at its corner portion when it is soldered to a printed circuit board. The liquid crystal display panel holding metal fixture has bottom and side surfaces that are formed by bending a metal plate cut into a predetermined shape. The bottom surface has corner portions where the cut surfaces of the metal plate are close to each other. The metal plate is plated to impart solder wettability thereto when the metal plate is made of a material having poor solder wettability, and is thereafter cut into the predetermined shape to expose the poor wettability material at the cut portions that prohibit the flow of solder through the gap. Alternatively, the metal plate is made of a material having good solder wettability, and the cut surfaces are subjected to a surface treatment for reducing solder wettability.

  • Patent number: 5473316
Abstract: A radio pager having a pager body provided with a keyboard for implementing an electronic memorandum, a lid provided with a display for selectively displaying a received message or data meant for the electronic memorandum, and a hinge connecting the pager body and lid. The pager has a detecting section for detecting the opening of the lid. When the lid is opened as detected by the detecting section, an alert stopping section stops an alerting operation immediately.
