  • Patent number: 6688600
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine which is a machine having an oil seal in which an oil seal mounted between a through hole through which a balance shaft is allowed to pass and a circumferential surface of the through hole is covered entirely by a cover, a retaining plate adapted to cover at least part of the oil seal is fixed with a bolt within the cover, whereby the oil seal is retained by the retaining plate at an axial setting position within the through hole. The, an extending portion is provided on the retaining plate in such a manner as to extend outwardly of the cover, so that the mounting of the retaining plate can be confirmed from the outside of the cover.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 2001
Date of Patent: February 10, 2004
Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki Kaisha

  • Publication number: 20030108696
Abstract: A container comprised of a plastic-paper laminate obtained by laminating a layer comprised of a plastic composition containing 100 parts by weight of a linear low density polyolefin and 10 to 20 parts by weight of a norbornene-based polymer on at least one surface of a paper base is provided. This container is superior in heat resistance, heat sealability, and low moisture permeability making it suitable for packaging food and beverages.

  • Patent number: 4621597
Abstract: A cylinder head for DOHC type internal combustion engine with a center block integrally formed over each cylinder with portions for supporting the rocker arm bearings and a central hole for receiving the ignition plug. Two main oil supply passages are integrally formed in the head and extending longitudinally on either side of the plug holes for supplying lubricant to the rocker arm bearings and the camshaft bearings on each side.

  • Patent number: 4519364
Abstract: A valve-actuating mechanism for an internal combustion engine having two intake valves and one exhaust valve for each cylinder. The two intake valves are on one lateral side of the engine centerline and the exhaust valve and ignition source are on the other side. A cam shaft is disposed along a straight line substantially equidistant from the intake valves and the exhaust valve. Valve-actuating cams are mounted on the cam shaft. Intake rocker arms and exhaust rocker arms are pivotally mounted on the rocker arm shafts supported on the cylinder head and extending in parallel to the cam shaft. At least one of the two intake rocker arms and the exhaust rocker arm are formed to have the same dimensions to make them interchangeable.
