In this method, when an object to be treated is tempered after being quenched, the object to be treated is rapidly cooled to a 90% martensite transformation finishing temperature without being cooled to the ordinary temperature after quench heating, and then is subjected to 100% martensite transformation by using a 100° C. liquid, and thereafter, tempering treatment is performed after the whole of the object to be treated is soaked by using the 100° C. liquid.
