  • Patent number: 8623183
Abstract: An electrode module includes a working electrode, a counter electrode, a reference electrode and a well (container) for retaining an electrolytic solution and is used in electrochemical measuring instruments. This electrode module is produced by integrating the well with at least one of the working electrode, the counter electrode and the reference electrode. This integrated electrode includes a chip-like electrode having a thin membrane of an electrode material formed on the surface of a chip-like base metal. This chip-like electrode is disposed on and integrated with the bottom of the well in a detachable manner. There is provided the compact, low price electrode module of high repetition use efficiency with no need of maintenance and having easy handling.

  • Patent number: 8574506
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for processing an exhaust gas, which enable to suppress decrease of pH and increase of ORP of a mixture of an aqueous solution of a reducing agent and an aqueous alkali solution circulated within a wet reactor comprising a reduction reaction region and an oxidation reaction region. The method and apparatus enable to prevent deterioration of the mixed aqueous solution, and can be continuously operated for a long time. Specifically, the ORP and pH of the mixed aqueous solution of the aqueous solution of a reducing agent and the aqueous alkali solution to be circulated within the wet reactor are measured, and a fresh aqueous solution of a reducing agent and a fresh aqueous alkali solution are supplied, if necessary, into a reservoir unit arranged in the lower part of the wet reactor so that the ORP and pH of the mixed aqueous solution are kept within predetermined ranges.

  • Patent number: 4229157
Abstract: A conduit for feeding a combustible waste gas to a ground flare is divided into a plurality of branch pipes each connected to burners of the ground flare. A stop valve is mounted on each of the branch pipes except the first pipe and provided with a limit switch for detecting the closing of the valve. A pressure detector is mounted on each of the branch pipes except the last pipe. The valve on each branch pipe opens in response to an opening signal from the pressure detector on the preceding branch pipe and closes in response to both a closing signal from that pressure detector and a signal from the limit switch on the valve on the following branch pipe, whereby the number of branch pipes used for feeding the waste gas is controlled in accordance with variations in the feed of waste gas.
