  • Patent number: 6518764
Abstract: A relay driving apparatus to be automatically restores a relay driving state if the relay is inadvertently turned off. The relay driving apparatus supplies a predetermined rated voltage to the relay RL1 to shift the relay RL1 to a driving state and then reduces the voltage to maintain the driving state of the relay RL1. The driving state of the relay RL1 is monitored, and on the basis of the monitoring result the relay RL1 is again provided with the rated driving voltage. Alternatively, the rated voltage is periodically supplied to the relay RL1 during the driving state, or after a predetermined rated voltage is supplied to the relay RL2 to set the relay RL2 to a driving state or non-driving state, the state is monitored and the relay RL2 is periodically subjected to the rated driving operation on the basis of the monitoring result, thereby enhancing the operation reliability and promoting energy savings.

  • Patent number: 6434024
Abstract: A power supply apparatus is provided with a power supply transformer; excitation circuit portions provided at a primary side of the power supply transformer, for exciting the power supply transformer by means of a commercial power supply; and control circuit portions provided at a secondary side of the power supply transformer, for starting operation by the power supply transformer having entered an excited state and for intermittently operating the excitation circuit portion 50. Thereby, power in a waiting state can be suppressed at maximum and energy saving can be executed further efficiently.

  • Patent number: 6330175
Abstract: When an electronic unit is in a standby state, a standby circuit, such as a control microcomputer which receives a signal from a remote-control transmitter, is operated by an electric power supplied from an electricity accumulating section built in a power-supply circuit to make power consumption to zero in the standby state.

  • Publication number: 20010035755
Abstract: A relay driving apparatus is provided to be automatically able to restore a relay driving state while no keeping under the relay driving state. In a relay RL1 driving apparatus for once subjecting a relay RL1 to a rated driving operation by supplying a predetermined rated voltage to the relay RL1 and shift the relay RL1 to a driving state, and then reducing the voltage to keep the driving state of the relay RL1, the driving state of the relay RL1 is monitored, and on the basis of the monitoring result the relay RL1 is subjected to the rated driving operation, or the rated voltage is periodically supplied to the relay RL1 kept under the driving state, or after a predetermined rated voltage is supplied to the relay RL2 to set the relay RL2 to a driving state or non-driving state, the state is monitored and the relay RL2 is periodically subjected to the rated driving operation on the basis of the monitoring result, thereby enhancing the operation reliability with promoting the energy saving.

  • Patent number: 5416534
Abstract: In a monitor apparatus for a television system, a dynamic range of a brightness level of an image quality is widened, and an image very similar to a picture of a movie film is represented on the monitor apparatus. With employment of the YM function for performing the half blanking process by controlling the gain of the video processor, for instance, when an image quality mode such as "theater" mode is selected, the video processor outputs such a control signal that the overall picture period becomes an H level (namely, YM function is turned ON). In the video processor into which such a control signal is inputted, the gain control is carried out. The video signal outputted from the video processor owns such a waveform that the half blanking process has been executed over the entire picture period. The brightness of the overall image can be lowered by this YM function.

  • Patent number: 4178608
Abstract: Control circuitry for selectively controlling the contrast of a video picture displayed by a television receiver and for selectively controlling the color level of the video picture. The television receiver is of the type which has a controllable video amplifier for amplifying a luminance signal and a controllable chrominance amplifier for amplifying a chrominance signal. The control circuitry includes pulse generating circuits for generating contrast control pulses of selectively variable duty cycle and color level control pulses of selectively variable duty cycle.A contrast control circuit is responsive to the contrast control pulses for generating a contrast control signal in accordance with the duty cycle of the contrast control pulses. The produced contrast control signal is used to control the gain of the video amplifier so as to correspondingly control the contrast of the video picture.
