Publication number: 20100297512Abstract: A fuel-cell system is advantageous in preventing exhaust gases to be discharged from an exhaust port from flowing back into an exhaust gas passage without being discharged from the exhaust port. This fuel cell system includes a fuel cell having an anode and a cathode, and an exhaust gas passage having an exhaust port for discharging exhaust gases generated during operation of the fuel cell to the outside. The exhaust gas passage has a backflow suppressing unit at an end portion of the exhaust gas passage on the side of the exhaust port.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 3, 2007Publication date: November 25, 2010Inventors: Kazunobu Shinoda, Keiji Suzumura, Tsuyoshi Yamada

Patent number: 6100660Abstract: A temperature sensor is located close to each of a plurality of switching elements. Each of the elements opens and closes a current supplying line from a power supply to a three phase SR motor. A generating circuit of a instruction value for the driving current of the motor generates a target value (It) of the driving current so as to achieve a requested power of the motor and an allowable value of the driving current on the basis of the highest temperature sensed by the temperature sensors. The circuit outputs the target value as an instruction value of the driving current when the target value is smaller than the allowable value and outputs the allowable value as an instruction value of the driving current when the target value is greater than the allowable value.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1999Date of Patent: August 8, 2000Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takeshi Ikeyama, Teruo Tatsumi, Keiji Suzumura, Yoshihide Suzuki

Patent number: 5168925Abstract: A heat exchanger includes a plurality of tube elements, and a plurality of fins which are alternately stacked together with the tube elements. A tank element is disposed on both sides of the tube elements. At least one of the tank elements is formed of brazing materials and comprises a pair of plates which are U-shaped in cross-section and form an inner space. A partition plate is positioned in the inner space and divides the inner space into a first space adjacent the tube elements and a second space separated from the tube elements by the first space. The partition plate is also provided with a penetrating hole. Each of the tube elements contain at least first and second coolant flow passages. The first coolant flow passages extend through the penetrating holes and into the second space, and the second coolant flow passages extend into the first passage.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1991Date of Patent: December 8, 1992Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Keiji Suzumura, Hiroshi Okazaki

Patent number: 5042577Abstract: An evaporator is constructed so as to increaase the efficiency of the heat exchange operation and to decrease the degree of turbulence usually experienced as the coolant flows through the evaporator. A series of tube elements which are alternatingly arranged are provided as the body of the evaporator. Alternatingly arranged inlet and outlet ports at the top and bottom of the tube elements permit the flow of fluid therethrough as it is passed from the inlet conduit through the outlet conduit. An end plate arrangement securely positions the inlet and outlet conduits to the end plate which is connected with the first of the series of tube elements. Due to the connection arrangement between the inlet and outlet conduits and their fixed connection to the end plate, the coolant can flow into and out of the evaporator with an absence of turbulence.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1990Date of Patent: August 27, 1991Assignee: Aisin Seiki Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Keiji Suzumura
