  • Patent number: 5141741
Abstract: A novel anti-sunburn skin-care preparation, such as creams, foundations, milky lotions and the like, is proposed which contains, as the ultraviolet-absorbing and -shielding ingredient, a salt of ellagic acid with a polyvalent metal, e.g., calcium, barium and magnesium. The skin-care preparation is free from the problem of irritation and sensitization of human skin and exhibits excellent anti-sunburn effect with durability.

  • Patent number: 5130932
Abstract: In a generating device for a production system simulator according to the present invention, interactive parameter input using graphic symbols is made possible by a production system model input section, and also the automatic creation of the production system simulator is made possible by a simulator generating section, so that even those people who know nothing about a general purpose simulation language are able to perform the generating work of the production system suimulator effectively in a short time. Furthermore, since the production system simulator which is automatically generated is written in the general purpose simulation language and is editable, an expert in simulation can generate a higher grade production system simulator in a short time by adding a function or functions to meet characteristics inherent in each production system besides the fundamental simulator functions generated by the present device.

  • Patent number: 5073545
Abstract: Agents for external application contain as an effective component ellagic acid series compounds represented by the general formula [I] or salts thereof: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, a polyalkylene oxide residue where the alkylene oxide unit has 2 to 3 carbon atoms, or a sugar residue represented by the formula [II]: ##STR2## and R.sub.5 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or an alkoxy group having 1 to 8 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 4797362
Abstract: Novel microorganisms are provided which belong to the genus Bacillus and have ability of producing novel alkaline proteases. The alkaline proteases have excellent stability in highly alkaline conditions when blended with detergents, and improve detergency of the detergents. A process for the production of such alkaline proteases is also provided wherein the novel microorganisms are cultured.

  • Patent number: 4529052
Abstract: A conveyor truck including a truck body and a plurality of rotary members rotatably mounted on the truck body in a plane parallel to the floor. A pair of drive wheels, rotatable by aligned rotary shafts lying in a plane parallel to the floor, are mounted on each rotary member. The rotation of each drive wheel can be independently controlled. Supports are mounted on the respective rotary members and are arranged generally perpendicular to the rotary shafts of the drive wheels. The supports support the drive wheels so as to rotate about the center axes of the respective rotary members and parallel to the floor, whereby the conveyor truck can smoothly move in any direction without reorientation of the truck body.

  • Patent number: 4149142
Abstract: A signal transmission system embodying this invention which can control errors comprises a selective automatic repeat request (ARQ) system for controlling errors occurring in transmission of data on telephone data communication channels. With this selective ARQ system, an error-controlling signal conducted through a backward channel does not contain a check bit for detection or correction of errors, thereby preventing a time loss which might occur if a error-control signal was repeatedly issued between the transmission and receiving sides. The subject signal-transmitting apparatus is adapted to be used in a static image transmission having a large amount of data and has such a circuit arrangement as attains the efficient transmission of data and the display of an error-free image of good picture quality.
