  • Publication number: 20190004237
Abstract: An optical sheet 60 includes a substrate layer 65, a mat layer 70 and a prism layer 80. The mat layer includes first light diffusing particles 71, second light diffusing particles 72 and a binder resin 73. The refractive index n2 of the second light diffusing particles differs from the refractive index nb of the binder resin and the refractive index n1 of the first light diffusing particles. The average particle diameter d1 of the first light diffusing particles, the average particle diameter d2 of the second light diffusing particles, and the thickness tb of the mat layer in those regions where no first light diffusing particles and no second light diffusing particles are present, satisfy the following relation: d2<tb<d1.

  • Patent number: 9753207
Abstract: A light guide plate having light-emitting-side unit optical shapes arranged on a light emitting surface in a direction perpendicular to a light guide direction and a thickness direction of the light guide plate. The optical shape extends in the light guide direction and has a groove shape recessed in the light emitting surface, and a bottom of the groove is formed on a surface which is concave toward the back surface side. Inclined surfaces which are inclined from an edge portion toward the bottom side are formed in two end portions of the concave surface in an arrangement direction. When a width of the optical shape in the arrangement direction is W21, a maximum inclination angle ? of the inclined surface relative to the light emitting surface satisfies 20°???45°, and a radius of curvature r of the concave surface satisfies r?W21/(4×sin ?).

  • Publication number: 20160259115
Abstract: Provided is a prism sheet which inhibits the occurrence of scintillations, having less light loss. The prism sheet includes a body portion formed in a sheet, having a light transmitting property, a unit prism portion arranged on one face side of the body portion, having a plurality of unit prisms each having a convex and arrayed in a direction along a sheet face, and a light diffusing layer arranged on the other face side of the body portion, wherein P and Ra have a predetermined relationship wherein P (?m) is a pitch of the plurality of unit prisms and Ra (?m) is a surface roughness of the light diffusing layer.

  • Patent number: 9140831
Abstract: An optical sheet including a body portion, unit optical elements arranged on one surface of the body portion, and an uneven coating having an uneven surface with micro-protrusions, provided on the other surface of the body portion. When the hardness He of the optical element surface Pe and the hardness Hm of the uneven coating surface Pm are evaluated in terms of the pencil hardness measured in accordance with JIS K5600-5-4 (1999) (load: 1000 g; speed: 1 mm/s), the hardness Hm is not less than the hardness He (hardness Hm?hardness He) and the hardness Hm is preferably not less than F. Further, the hardness He and the hardness Hm preferably satisfy the following relation: hardness He+3?hardness Hm?hardness He+2 wherein the expression “He+1” indicates a hardness harder than He by one unit on the pencil hardness scale.
