  • Publication number: 20150337785
Abstract: A fuel injection valve according to the present invention has an expanded portion formed in a first injection-hole plate on an upstream side, thereby allowing positional misalignment between injection-hole portions. As a result, a radial dimension between an inner diameter-side circumferential edge of an upstream-side injection hole outlet portion and an inner diameter-side circumferential edge of a downstream-side injection hole inlet portion is not required. Thus, a plate thickness of a second injection-hole plate on a downstream side can be kept to minimum. As a result, weldability between an injection-hole plate body and a valve seat is improved.

  • Patent number: 9127635
Abstract: A method of generating a spray by a fluid injection valve is provided. The fluid injection valve includes a valve seat (10), a valve body (8), and an orifice plate (11) having a plurality of orifices (12). The flows in the orifices and the flows directly below the orifices are configured to be substantially liquid film flows. The directions of jet flows (30), (31) from the respective orifices (12) are not necessarily matched to the central axis directions of the orifices and are not necessarily intersected with each other at a downstream position thereof. The sprays are caused to converge by the Coanda effect acting on a plurality of sprays after jet flows from the orifices (12) become sprays at a downstream position farther than a break-up length (a). The convergence of the sprays is continued until the Coanda effect is substantially lost.

  • Publication number: 20150136877
Abstract: When injection-hole inlets and injection-hole outlets are projected vertically onto an X-Y plane (N) perpendicular to a valve-seat axial center, an injection-hole arrangement angle (A), which is formed by a straight line (a) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet of a reference injection hole and the valve-seat axial center and a straight line (b) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet of the injection hole neighboring the reference injection hole and the valve-seat axial center on the plane (N), is set so as to become smaller as being closer to a Y-axis. A fuel turn angle (a) on a wide-angle side, which is formed by the straight line (a) and a straight line (c) passing through a center of the injection-hole inlet and a center of the injection-hole outlet on the plane (N), has a relationship: 90°<?<180°.

  • Publication number: 20140182984
Abstract: A shock absorber includes a first cylinder portion, a second cylinder portion, a first piston portion arranged in an internal space of the first cylinder portion, a second piston portion arranged in an internal space of the second cylinder portion, a first rod portion connected to the first piston portion, and a second rod portion provided between the first piston portion and the second piston portion. The second rod portion has a stiffness lower than the stiffness of the first rod portion. When the first piston portion moves toward the one end portion side of the first cylinder portion, the first rod portion moves into the first cylinder portion so that the volume of the internal space of the first cylinder portion decreases, while the second piston portion moves along with the first piston portion so that the volume of the first chamber of the second cylinder portion increases.

  • Publication number: 20140182985
Abstract: A shock absorber includes a cylinder portion, a piston rod portion arranged as a single member, a pair of protruding members protruding from an outer circumferential surface of the piston rod portion, and a piston valve assembly having the piston rod portion passing therethrough. The piston valve assembly includes a piston portion, a valve element, and a threaded portion arranged to extend or contract in an axial direction as a result of rotation of a female thread portion relative to a male thread portion. The piston valve assembly is arranged such that the piston portion and the valve element are retained to the piston rod portion so as not to move with respect to the axial direction of the piston rod portion by a stretching force generated between the pair of protruding members due to extension of the threaded portion.
