Patent number: 5460495Abstract: A screw rotor for fluid handling devices configured to reduce the area of blowholes virtually without relationship to the length of the sealing line by selecting specific profile shapes of the addendum of the female rotor and the dedendum on male rotor. Further, the screw rotor configuration eliminates semi-occluded pockets forming between the addendum of the female rotor and the dedendum of the male rotor.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 1993Date of Patent: October 24, 1995Assignee: Mayekawa Mfg. Co.Inventors: Akira Matsui, Takayuki Kishi, Toshio Nishio, Keisuke Kasahara

Patent number: 5350286Abstract: A screw compressor has a male rotor and female rotor rotatably engaging each other in a casing. The male rotor has a radius R and Z-number of helical convex teeth, each of which is chamfered on a leading edge of an end facing the discharge end of casing to allow lubricating liquid to escape from a space between rotor teeth during discharge stages of operation. This prevents drastic increases in pressure upon the bearings due to a liquid compression phenomenon. Thrust forces produced by the liquid against a flat chamfer surface prevent scoring of the edges of the rotors and thus permit designs with narrow gaps between the rotors and the casing to improve the efficiency of the compressor.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1992Date of Patent: September 27, 1994Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Naekawa SeisakushoInventors: Takayuki Kisi, Keisuke Kasahara

Patent number: 5348080Abstract: A latent heat storage apparatus is provided and a latent heat storage solution therefor stores and retrieves a cool heat substantially in or from a latent heat thereof necessary for air conditioning, cooling, refrigerating, and so forth. The latent heat storage apparatus has an aqueous solution of a plurality of inorganic salts as a latent heat storage solution in a heat storage tank, formed to retrieve a cold heat from a stored latent heat, the latent heat storage apparatus. The latent heat storage solution is formed of (N-1) kinds of inorganic salts in at least an N-component aqueous solution where N.gtoreq.3. The latent heat storage solution stores the cold heat as the latent heat thereof. The cold heat is retrievable from the stored latent heat at a desired temperature almost invariably within a range higher than the N-component eutectic point and lower than any one of binary eutectic points of salts with water.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 1991Date of Patent: September 20, 1994Assignees: Tokyo Electric Power Company, Maekawa Mfg. Patent number: 4971141Abstract: A jet stream injection device for use in a heat exchanger of a fluidized-bed type in which a flat jet stream is injected toward a heat transmission coil of the heat exchanger from below this coil so that is runs along said cell so as to form a mixed-phase flow of a gas and solid particles around the heat transmission coil. The jet stream injection device has a net with meshes smaller than the size of the particles of a fluidized bed provided over an opening provided on the upstream side of a jet stream generating slit-shaped injection port element. The opening has a larger passage sectional area than the injection port element.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 1988Date of Patent: November 20, 1990Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Maekawa SeisakushoInventors: Keisuke Kasahara, Toshio Aihara, Shigenao Maruyama
