  • Patent number: 5677034
Abstract: Disclosed is a biaxially oriented, laminated polyester film having a lamination structure with at least two layers. At least one of the outermost layers of the film is a thin laminated layer A having a thickness of not more than 3 .mu.m. In the layer A, internally formed particles and specified agglomerated particles or mono-dispersed particles are present, or the mono-dispersed particles are present at a very small content. When the polyester film is used as a base film for magnetic recording media, the abrasion resistance of the film surface at a high speed can be greatly increased.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 11, 1995
Date of Patent: October 14, 1997
    Assignee: Toray Industries, Inc.
Inventors: Iwao Okazaki, Tohru Miyake, Koichi Abe, Keisuke Ohshima

  • Patent number: 4606987
Abstract: An electrophotographic photosensitive material has a photosensitive layer formed on an electroconductive substrate, with the photosensitive layer containing a polymeric binder and an organic photoconductor represented by the following formulaA--CH.dbd.CH).sub.n CH.dbd.NNHYwherein A is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group having 7 to 14 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and a heterocyclic residue of a 3- to 30- membered ring, wherein n is 1 or 2,Y is selected from the group consisting of --SO.sub.2 R', ##STR1## wherein R' is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms, an aralkyl group having 7 to 14 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 20 carbon atoms and a heterocyclic residue of a 3- to 30- membered ring, and R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5, either form a ring together with the nitrogen atom to which R.sup.2 and R.sup.3, R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are bonded and in this case R.sup.

  • Patent number: 4386130
Abstract: A laminated film which comprises (A) an organic polymer film, (B) a thin metal layer having a thickness of 30 to 500 A laminated on at least one surface of said organic polymer film, and (C) a transparent thin layer containing metal compounds and having a thickness of 0.02 to 0.3.mu. laminated on said thin metal layer (B). At least 60 wt. % of said transparent thin layer (C) comprises zirconium (Zr), silicon (Si) and oxygen, at least 60 molar % of metal elements in the above transparent thin layer (C) comprises zirconium (Zr) and silicon (Si) and molar ratio Zr/Si is in the range of 80/20 to 20/80.
