  • Publication number: 20080239671
Abstract: A semiconductor element mounting substrate excellent in cooling performance and simple in structure is provided. The semiconductor element mounting substrate is a substrate 1B for mounting a semiconductor element 2, and has an insulating layer 3 and a conducting layer 4 for attaching a semiconductor element 2 on one surface of the insulating layer 3. To the other surface of the insulating layer 3, a heat releasing device 5 is directly attached. The heat releasing device 5 is preferably a liquid-cooling type cooling plate 7 having a plurality of fine passage 7a for cooling fluid. The insulating layer is preferably a composite member that an insulating cloth is impregnated with insulating resin or insulating resin composite in which thermally conductive filler is added to insulating resin.

  • Publication number: 20070240867
Abstract: A liquid-cooling type cooling plate including at least one flat multi-bored tube, a substrate, and a cover plate. The substrate includes, at its upper surface, two header forming dented portions arranged apart from each other and a tube accommodating dented portion for accommodating the tube, the tube accommodating dented portion being formed between the header forming dented portions. An upper surface of the cover plate and/or a lower surface of the substrate is configured to be attached by a member to be cooled. The tube is accommodated in the tube accommodating dented portion and is disposed between the substrate and the cover plate. An opening of each header forming dented portion is closed by the cover plate, whereby two header portions are formed. The substrate, the tube, and the cover plate are integrally jointed.

  • Patent number: 7071639
Abstract: An electric motor control apparatus suppressing power loss caused by driving an electric motor acting as a motor with a generated output of an electric motor acting as a generator. The electric motor control apparatus comprises a PAM controlled motor selecting unit (53) for determining which of “control pattern 1” and “control pattern 2” should be executed by comparison in total power loss, where a voltage control unit on the power generation side (51) performs voltage transformation with a PWM control in a first inverter (30) and generates a drive voltage for a second electric motor (12) with a PAM control in a second inverter (31) in the control pattern 1 and a voltage control unit on the driving side (52) outputs a rectified voltage from a generated voltage of a first electric motor (6) without voltage transformation in the first inverter (30) and generates a drive voltage for the second electric motor (12) with a PWM control in the second inverter (31) in the control pattern 2.

  • Patent number: 7053500
Abstract: An automotive electric power unit is provided to reduce the occurrence of electromagnetic noise caused by change in magnetic fields when the current dropps to zero when an ignition switch is being switched off. When the ignition switch is switched off, an input voltage to an ON/OFF control terminal of a DC/DC converter gently decreases through a potential difference between terminals of a motor driving load connected thereto. Accordingly, a control device, for which a detecting voltage is set relatively high, first detects an OFF state of the ignition switch and disconnects power loads such as a cooling fan, air conditioner, and defroster from the DC/DC converter by regulating relays. Then, the DC/DC converter, for which a detecting voltage is set lower than the detecting voltage for the control device, detects the OFF state of the ignition switch and stops stepping down the voltage so that a charging current for a battery of the load current thereof is shut off.

  • Patent number: 6838800
Abstract: The stator includes core back iron cores disposed on outer circumferential sides between a plurality of teeth iron cores disposed at regular intervals of a predetermined distance in a predetermined circumferential direction. A stator winding is disposed on inner circumferential sides between the plurality of teeth iron cores. The stator winding is constituted by a plurality of wire bundles each of which is a bundle of a predetermined number of electric wires and which are connected in parallel with one another. The wire bundles are set so that the number of electric wires constituting a wire bundle located on the inner circumferential side between adjacent teeth iron cores is smaller than the number of electric wires constituting a wire bundle located on the outer circumferential side. Hence, the ratio (L/A) of the circumferential length L of each wire bundle to the sectional area A thereof is set at a value in a predetermined allowable range.
