    Abstract: A technique facilitates formation of subsea connections. A free portion of a stab plate connection system is moved into proximity with a fixed portion of the stab plate connection system at a subsea location. The free portion is initially engaged with the fixed portion via a docking probe. Subsequently, a local actuator is used to draw the free portion into an operating engagement with the fixed portion in which line couplers of the fixed portion are engaged with corresponding line couplers of the free portion.
