Abstract: Generally, provided is an insert for usage on an outer surface of a sporting apparatus (e.g., a golf club). The insert includes a securing member that protrudes from surface of the insert. The securing member may include a stem and a head, wherein the stem functions to couple the head to a face of the securing member. The head of the securing member functions to prevent the insert from becoming dislodged or separated from the outer surface of the sporting apparatus during usage.

Abstract: A golf club head has a main body and a front recess that includes a flange. A rear portion of the main body includes a perimeter-weighting element. A striking face insert is secured within the front recess. A face center is located on the front surface of the striking face insert. A rear cavity is at least partially delimited by the perimeter-weighting element and a rear surface of the striking face insert. A rear insert is secured to the rear surface of the striking face insert. In an imaginary horizontal plane passing through a portion of the rear insert, proximate a heel portion of the club head, a heelwardmost point of the rear insert is spaced further from a vertical center plane than a minimum distance between the flange and the center plane. The club head comprises an auxiliary recess that extends outward from the rear cavity.

The set of golf clubs has a first club head that, when oriented in a reference position, includes: a first loft angle, a first heel portion, a first toe portion opposite the first heel portion, a first top portion, and a first sole portion that comprises a first sole rail having a first setback length. The set of golf clubs also has a second club head that, when oriented in the reference position, includes: a second loft angle greater than the first loft angle, a second heel portion, a second toe portion opposite the second heel portion, a second top portion, and a second sole portion that comprises a second sole rail having a second setback length that is different from the first setback length.
