  • Patent number: 5819970
Abstract: A pneumatic vessel is provided including a vessel wall of a metallic construction defining an enclosed shape with an interior for holding dry bulk material. The vessel wall includes first and second ends which each define a conical shape. An upper central section defines a cylindrical shape. A lower central section defines at least one unloading hopper. The seam between the upper central cylindrical section and the first and second conical sections is angled relative to the vertical axis. A manhole is provided to access an interior of the vessel. An aeration system may be provided to facilitate unloading of the dry bulk material. The vessel is part of a trailer for transporting the dry bulk material.

  • Patent number: 5381606
Abstract: A bin aeration device includes a skirt mounted to a bin wall by a stem including an exterior surface with a first portion having straight American National Standard pipe threads. A second portion on the exterior surface includes American National Standard Taper Pipe Threads. The American taper pipe threads permit attachment of either an internally American taper threaded fitting or an internally British taper threaded fitting if provided with 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch--14 threads per inch threads. An interior surface through the stem defines a passageway for pressurized gas to exit through an air port adjacent the skirt. A portion of the interior surface of the stem includes British Standard Taper Pipe threads. The British taper pipe threads permit attachment of either an externally American taper threaded fitting or an externally British taper threaded fitting if provided with 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch--14 threads per inch threads.

  • Patent number: 5366317
Abstract: A manhole cover apparatus including a collar defining an opening with an inner perimeter is provided with a pivotally mounted cover having an outer perimeter greater than the inner perimeter of the collar. A seal is provided to seal between the cover and the collar. Closure structure is provided to secure the free end of the cover to the collar. A threaded bolt is provided to close the cover. A pivotally mounted lever arm is mounted to the bolt for turning of the bolt. An adjustable threaded hinge is provided to adjust the cover in a longitudinal direction relative to the collar. The manhole cover apparatus is useable on pressure containers, such as those used to pneumatically handle particulate material.
