  • Publication number: 20230070664
Abstract: A smart electronic power steering system and method for a retrofitted electric vehicle are provided. In one embodiment, an electronic power steering system of an electric vehicle is provided. The electronic power steering system comprises one or more computer-readable storage media, a processing system operatively coupled with the one or more computer-readable storage media, and program instructions stored on the one or more computer-readable storage media that, based on being read and executed by the processing system, direct the electronic power steering system to receive a maximum pressure value and a flow rate from the electric vehicle; convert the maximum pressure value and the flow rate into one or more power steering component settings; and send the one or more power steering component settings to one or more power steering components of the electric vehicle.

  • Patent number: 11485407
Abstract: A smart electronic power steering system and method for a retrofitted electric vehicle are provided. In one embodiment, an electronic power steering system comprises a relief valve; a pump in communication with the relief valve; a motor configured to operate the pump; a motor controller configured to control the motor; and a processor. The processor is configured to receive a desired maximum pressure value from a retrofitted electric vehicle and configure the relief valve or motor controller to provide relief at the desired maximum pressure value; and receive a desired flow rate from the retrofitted electric vehicle and configure the motor controller to operate the motor at a speed to achieve the desired flow rate. Other embodiments are provided.

  • Publication number: 20210031638
Abstract: A mobile charging station with battery storage for electric vehicles is provided. In one embodiment, a mobile charging station receives a continuous Level 2 charge, converts the continuous Level 2 charge to an intermittent Direct Current Fast Charge (DCFC), and provides the intermittent Direct Current Fast Charge (DCFC) to an electric vehicle for charging. In another embodiment, the mobile charging station has a plurality of charging inputs and charging outputs and provides charge received from one of the plurality of charging inputs to one of the plurality of charging outputs. In yet another embodiment, the mobile charging station is mobile but not integrated in any one vehicle. Other embodiments are provided.
