Patent number: 8993827Abstract: A method and apparatus for the stabilization and safe removal of buried waste that is tested and classified as being transuranic or not transuranic waste and disposed accordingly. The buried waste (usually in vertical pipe units) is enclosed in a casing and ground and mixed with the surrounding soil. This process allows for chemical reactions to occur that stabilizes the mixture. The entire process is contained within the casing to avoid contamination. In situ or external testing is done for radio isotopes to classify the waste. If it is classified as transuranic the waste is removed in a controlled way into a retrieval enclosure and disposed off in drums. If the waste is not transuranic then grout is introduced into the mixture, allowed to set and the resulting monolith is removed and buried in trenches.Type: GrantFiled: November 16, 2012Date of Patent: March 31, 2015Assignee: VJ TechnologiesInventors: Boris Soyfer, Steve Halliwell, Keith Stone

Patent number: 8910054Abstract: Audit reporting applications provide audit users the ability to perform reviews of compliance procedures used throughout a business that require supervisors to take actions on the communication between personnel. The action analyzer tool compiles, filters, and sorts message and action information, allows more advance analytics about the information, and answers complex questions that are not easily available by looking at the raw message and action information. The action analyzer tool breaks down the actions taken in order to determine if the supervisors are trying to take credit for an action that they did not actually perform or otherwise violating the accepted procedures for proper supervision and compliance. The message and action information can be sorted into number of actions taken within a specific time frame, the number of actions performed after a specified date, and/or the number of actions taken without the message being reviewed, to name a few.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2010Date of Patent: December 9, 2014Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: James Charles Montagna, Anthony Keith Stone, Craig S. Diekman, Karen Yuki Barnett

Patent number: 8356088Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide apparatuses and methods for managing the configuration settings of one or more servers within a business. The configuration management apparatuses and methods generally relate to creating a configuration schema; creating configuration items to assign to the configuration schema; assigning the configuration schema to one or more servers in the business; capturing a snapshot of the configuration settings for a server based on the configuration schema and assigning it to the configuration schema as the reference snapshot; capturing a current snapshot of the actual configuration settings for one or more servers; and comparing the reference snapshot with the current snapshot to determine the differences in the configuration settings. Embodiments of the present invention also allow a report to be generated that displays the differences between the reference snapshot and the current snapshot, such as the new settings, changed settings, and missing settings.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2010Date of Patent: January 15, 2013Assignee: Bank of America CorporationInventors: James Charles Montagna, Martin Thomas Gajan, Anthony Keith Stone

Patent number: 7497774Abstract: A whole house fan system and installation methods configured to reduce noise generated by the fan are provided. The system generally includes a fan, a register, and a flexible duct extending between the fan and the register. The flexible duct has acoustical insulation properties, which helps to reduce sound transmission from the fan to the register. The fan system is configured to be mounted in the attic space of a house. The fan motor is suspended in the attic so that it does not have direct contact with any part of the building structure.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 2005Date of Patent: March 3, 2009Assignee: QC Manufacturing, Inc.Inventors: Dana Charles Stevenson, Ronnie Keith Stone

Publication number: 20080044777Abstract: A method for making a forming structure having columnar protrusions extending therefrom comprising the steps of exposing a liquid photosensitive resin to light having an activating wavelength thereby inducing partial curing of the photosensitive resin to form a monolithic slab of partially-cured photosensitive resin; and, including the step of inducing partial curing of a plurality of protrusions on the monolithic slab such that they are joined to and integral with the monolithic slab. The method can further comprise the step of laser etching a plurality of apertures through the forming structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 16, 2007Publication date: February 21, 2008Inventors: Brian Gary, Keith Stone, Sarah Gross, Julie O'Neil, Timothy Fiedeldey

Publication number: 20050209575Abstract: A polymeric web exhibiting a soft and silky tactile impression on at least one side thereof is disclosed. The silky feeling side of the web exhibits a pattern of discrete hair-like fibrils, each of the hair-like fibrils being a protruded extension of the web surface and having a side wall defining an open proximal portion and a closed distal portion. The hair-like fibrils exhibit a maximum lateral cross-sectional diameter of between 2 and 5 mils, and an aspect ratio from 1 to 3. Methods and apparatus for making the polymeric web utilize a three-dimensional forming structure having a plurality of protrusions being generally columnar forms having an average aspect ratio of at least about 1.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 12, 2005Publication date: September 22, 2005Inventors: Keith Stone, Brian Gray, Norman Broyles, Dimitris Collias, Yann-Per Lee
