    Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide a roof module on which various electric accessories and control circuits therefore are mounted at the front portion of the ceiling of a motor vehicle at the driver's seat side, so that the installation of functional electric accessories such as a sunroof and of the control circuits are greatly simplified. Inner equipments, electric accessories such as an antenna, control unit, and the like are assembled on an assemblage board formed into a shape which is suited to mount at the front portion of the ceiling of a motor vehicle at the driver's side, and that connectors for making a connection with an external electric circuit are provided thereon. A pair of connectors, which simultaneously act as a fixture and engage with each other are provided on the assemblage board of the roof module, thereby the coupling of the assemblage board with the overhead mount as well as the connection of the circuits are simultaneously performed.

In this operation, connecting terminals on a base board provided for the instrument board, the right-side switch section, and the left-side switch section are brought into contact with the contact portions of the FPC, so that the meters on the instrument board are electrically connected to the right-side switch section and the left-side switch section.

    Abstract: A meter module includes a meter panel in which meters and indication lamps are mounted, a centralized control circuit board in which control circuits for a vehicle's electrical devices (including meters and indication lamps) are installed, an electric junction box for distribution of power, input and output signals and for integration of earth lines, and a module case. The electric junction box is formed by setting a bus-bar circuit board and an insulator cover in the module case. The centralized control circuit board and the meter panel are fixed over the electric junction box, whereby the meter panel, the centralized control circuit board and the electric junction box are intensively incorporated. Thus, the electric wiring in the instrument panel portion of the vehicle is simplified and this facilitates setting and assembling of the electric devices such as the meter panel.

    Abstract: A meter-module is compactly and integrally formed by a combination meter 1, an electric junction box 2 and a switching unit 3. Meters and indication lamps are mounted on the combination meter 1. A circuitry for controlling module components is incorporated into the electric junction box 2. Various kinds of switches are incorporated into the switch unit 3. Connectors 6, 6' and 8 and so forth, are provided for the outer wall 2a of the electric junction box 2 and electrical connection is carried out between the connectors thereof and connectors in respect to both the combination meter 1 and the switch unit 3. The combination meter 1, the electric junction box 2 and the switch unit 3 are removably integrated by engaging guide grooves 5, 5' of the electric junction box 2 with a guide projection 11 of the combination meter 1.
