  • Patent number: 11967031
Abstract: Biological digital imaging systems and methods are disclosed herein for analyzing pixel data of one or more digital images depicting absorbent articles or portions of absorbent articles. A digital image comprising pixel data is obtained depicting an absorbent article or a portion of an absorbent article, the digital image. An imaging application (app) analyzes the digital image to detect a biological feature depicted within the pixel data of the digital image of the absorbent article or the portion of the absorbent article. The imaging app generates an individual-specific biological prediction value corresponding to at least one of: (a) the absorbent article; (b) the portion of the absorbent article; or (c) an individual associated with the absorbent article or portion of the absorbent article. The individual-specific biological prediction value is based on the biological feature depicted within the pixel data of the digital image of the absorbent article or the portion of the absorbent article.

  • Patent number: 11562099
Abstract: Embodiments enable a displayed webpage containing sensitive information to be accurately and efficiently sanitized. The sensitive information is contained within a text string of the webpage and displayed using a font specified in a style sheet. The text string that is to be sanitized is determined based on a tag for sanitization associated with the text string. When the tag is determined the text string is rendered using a font from the style sheet that is not legible. Upon rendering, the text string of the webpage is redisplayed using the non-legible font, which effectively sanitizes the text string containing the sensitive information.

  • Publication number: 20210321659
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device and method for forming a cigar shaped object. A mold is provided having at least one cigar shaped pocket, a rod aligned within the pocket and a separate tamping device. The tamping device has a stem and handle with a bore in the stem larger than the diameter of the rod. Tobacco or other smoking material is placed in the pocket and the tamping device is used to compress the material which forms a cigar-shaped tube by placing the tamping device onto the rod and repeatedly moving it up and down to tamp or compress the material. The rod, when removed, creates a bore through the smoking material to improve and control air draw. After removal from the mold, the packed smoking material may be wrapped in any appropriate wrapper material.

  • Patent number: 8098713
Abstract: An embodiment for wirelessly communicating a signal includes a transmitter generating and transmitting a wireless signal over a wireless communication channel. The wireless signal includes a guard band, data represented within a plurality of data-bearing subcarriers, and a plurality of pilot signals represented within a plurality of pilot subcarriers. In an embodiment, the plurality of pilot signals have variable pilot signal parameters selected from a group of parameters that includes pilot power and pilot spacing with respect to adjacent pilots. An embodiment further includes a receiver receiving a channel-affected version of the wireless signal, and producing a corrected signal by applying corrections to the received signal based on estimated channel perturbations within the received signal, where the estimated channel perturbations are determined based on the plurality of pilot signals. The receiver also produces an output data symbol from the corrected signal.
