Publication number: 20110139697Abstract: A total water desalination system is disclosed that includes a centrifugal separator, a feed-water device controlled by a relative humidity sensor, an air pump, an evaporator core, an air dryer, a non-particulate coalescent air filter, and an air flow/brine gravity separating tank. The evaporator core typically contains multiple conical processing chambers and introduces a physical dynamic that increases the surface area of the water, using low-level thermal energy to vaporize micron-size water particles into a gaseous state, suitable for reconstitution into desalinated (or lower salt content) water. The evaporator core operation principles are based on creating a highly dynamic environment that separates impurities from sea, brackish, river, or turbid water; evaporating the water into a residual clean vapor, and returning the vapor to water composition with high efficiency.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 11, 2009Publication date: June 16, 2011Inventor: Kelly P. Patent number: 7717096Abstract: The present invention provides methods and apparatus for premixing fuel and oxidant for combustion. The methods and apparatus may include a two stage vortex, each stage accommodating different flow rate ranges. The vortex pulverizes fuel and optimally mixes the fuel with an oxidant prior to introduction into a combustion chamber. The premixing results in more complete combustion and, consequently, fuel efficiency may be increased and pollution may be decreased. The present invention also enables introduction of fuel and oxidant to an engine without creating any shockwaves in engine cylinders, which may otherwise occur with current fuel injection systems.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 2006Date of Patent: May 18, 2010Assignee: LyteSyde, LLCInventor: Kelly P. Patent number: 7104528Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved fuel processor for preparing fuel prior to introducing the fuel into a combustor utilized in connection with a gas internal combustion engine. The fuel processor of the present invention efficiently maintains an internal vacuum by balancing the surface area of the air intake with the atomized air/fuel combination output. In addition, the fuel processor eliminates the helical effects on the ejected air/fuel combination but maintains the atomized chemical state. The fuel processor conforms to industry standards and could therefore easily be incorporated with existing technology.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2003Date of Patent: September 12, 2006Assignee: LyteSyde, LLCInventor: Kelly P. Patent number: 6928822Abstract: A fuel processing system for a turbine engine includes a fuel processor which mixes fuel and air through a vortical flow which involves the introduction of air tangentially into the fuel processing chamber through inlet apertures formed in the outer wall of the fuel processing chamber. The vortical flow of fluid inside the fuel processing chamber breaks down or atomizes fuel such that the resulting fuel/air mixture will be ideal for combustion. The fuel/air mixture is thereafter introduced into a combustion chamber of the combustor of a turbine engine apparatus. One or more fuel processing units operatively coupled in series may be utilized.Type: GrantFiled: May 28, 2002Date of Patent: August 16, 2005Assignee: LyteSyde, LLCInventor: Kelly P. Rock

Patent number: 5672187Abstract: This invention relates to a system and process for fuel or liquid preparation including a plurality of vortex stacks of sequential vortex elements based on fuel or liquid inputs or conditions operationally coupled with an integrated pre-manifold centrifuge type-cyclone scrubber. Each vortex stack comprises a base vortex element followed by varying arrangements of air-accelerator vortex elements. The fuel enters the base vortex element creating a vortical (spinning) column, which is enhanced and accelerated by transonic-sonic velocity air inflows in the accelerator vortex elements. Entrained fuel aerosol droplets are sheared and turbulently reduced by pressure differentials into a viscous vapor phase, and then into a gas-phase state. The vortical column containing turbulently vaporized fuel and any residual aerosols in the air mixture then passed into and through a venturi.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 1996Date of Patent: September 30, 1997Assignee: Cyclone Technologies Inc.Inventors: Howard P. Rock, Kelly P. Rock, Grant R. Wood

Patent number: 5512216Abstract: This invention relates to a system and process for fuel or liquid preparation including a plurality of vortex stacks of sequential vortex elements operationally coupled with an integrated pre-manifold centrifuge type-cyclone scrubber. Each vortex stack comprises a base vortex element having a fuel-air mixture enters such base vortex element creating a vortical (spinning) column, which is enhanced and accelerated by transonic-sonic velocity air inflows in the accelerator vortex elements. Entrained fuel aerosol droplets are sheared into a viscous vapor phase, and then into a gas-phase state. The vortical column containing turbulently vaporized fuel and any residual aerosols in the air mixture is then passed through a venturi to the scrubber where the mixture is homogenized and any collected aerosols are returned as liquid and re-processed by the system. This allows only the vaporized, chemically stochiometric (oxygen balanced) and combustion ready gas-phase fuel to exit the system.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 1995Date of Patent: April 30, 1996Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Howard P.
