  • Publication number: 20070237289
Abstract: A method includes receiving cine scan data, receiving a plurality of target phases of a periodic waveform, and generating a plurality of images, each image centered at one of the received target phases. A phase shall represent a percentage of a period of a repeating cycle.

    Filed: April 10, 2006
    Publication date: October 11, 2007
Inventors: Timothy Deller, Kelly Piacsek, Steven Kohlmyer
  • Publication number: 20070189443
Abstract: An imaging scanner includes a radiation source, a radiation detector, and a computer programmed to decompose CT data acquired by the radiation detector into a set of pixels, each pixel having at least a first basis material content and a second basis material content. The computer is further programmed to identify a first subset of the set of pixels as a possible embolism, based on the content of the first basis material and the content of the second basis material.

  • Publication number: 20070127789
Abstract: A method of evaluating tissue of an organ includes accessing image data and processing the image data to quantify at least one feature of interest in the tissue. The image data is derived from a computed tomography acquisition system and includes multiple phases of acquired whole organ data. Each phase is acquired within five gantry rotations of the acquisition system using an acquisition protocol.

  • Publication number: 20060242146
Abstract: Methods and systems for quantification of a selected attribute of an image volume are provided. The system is configured to receive an image dataset for a volume of interest, process the dataset for a selected attribute based at least on one of shape and texture to obtain a plurality of responses, and compute an index of an aggregate of a plurality of obtained responses.

  • Publication number: 20060178575
Abstract: A method of imaging an object using a medical imaging system is provided. The imaging method acquires a stream of sinogram data. Changes in the stream of sinogram data corresponding to movement of the object are detected. The method selects portions of the stream of sinogram data. An image of the object based on the selected portions of the sinogram data is generated.

  • Publication number: 20060109953
Abstract: A method and system of CT colonography is presented that includes the acquisition of energy sensitive or energy-discriminating CT data from a colorectal region of a subject. CT data is acquired and decomposed into basis material density maps and used to differentiate and enhance contrast between tissues in the colorectal region. The invention is particularly applicable with the detection of colon polyps without cathartic preparation or insufflation of the colorectal region. The invention is further directed to the automatic detection of colon polyps.
