Abstract: A compact and easy-to-install portable carrier for a beverage container that can be used on shopping carts and that also has space for marketing/branding/personalization. A portable carrier for a beverage container is provided having a clamp portion movably connected to a beverage container carrier portion that defines a container-receiving space. The clamp portion is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. In the extended position the clamp portion extends outwardly from the beverage container carrier portion in a first direction. In the retracted position the clamp portion is rotated relative to its orientation in the extended position and positioned substantially within the container-receiving space.
