  • Publication number: 20130230763
Abstract: A method of producing a bowl-shaped housing half-part provided with a copper alloy interiorly of the housing of a mercury-free button cell includes (1) providing a clad material with a layer of nickel, a layer of copper and an intermediate layer of steel or high-grade steel, which is provided on a copper side with an additional coating including at least one metal selected from the group consisting of tin, zinc, indium and bismuth, (2) shaping a bowl-shaped housing half-part made of the clad material, wherein the layer of nickel forms an outside portion and the additional coating forms an inside portion of the bowl-shaped housing half-part, and (3) heat treating the housing half-part at a temperature where the at least one metal selected from the group consisting of tin, zinc, indium and bismuth is alloyed with the copper of the copper layer.

  • Publication number: 20120164502
Abstract: A galvanic element has a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator lying in between, wherein the separator consists at least partially of a polymer of which the melting and/or softening temperature is >200° C. A multi-layer separator for galvanic elements, in particular for lithium-ion batteries, includes at least one layer of the polymer with a melting and/or softening temperature >200° C.

  • Publication number: 20120070739
Abstract: A galvanic element includes a mercury-free negative electrode which consists essentially of a metal or a metal alloy and a nonmetallic conductive agent. A method for producing a galvanic element includes a mercury-free negative electrode produced from a powder of metal or metal alloy particles, surfaces of which are at least partially coated with a nonmetallic conductive agent.

  • Patent number: 7276092
Abstract: An electrochemical element in the form of a button cell having at least one lithium-intercalating electrode, wherein the cell cover or the cell cup has an opening which is closed in a sealed manner during the formation process. Once the formation process has been completed, it is opened briefly for gas to escape from the cell, and is then closed in a gastight manner. The cell cover and the cell cup are composed in particular of metal. The opening can be closed by a metal or metal/plastic composite sheet, which is adhesively bonded or welded to the cell cover or to the cell cup.
