Abstract: A disposable spittoon cover for a paper cup or the like includes a conical tunnel with an entry hole near or at an apex of the tunnel, and an integral, resilient flap covering the entry hole. The flap may be formed at a slight angle to the tunnel walls, in the range of about 5° to 20°. The disposable cover may further include two or more concentric grooves configured for fitting snugly to rims of disposable cups, with each of the grooves configured to fit to a cup of different diameter. The grooves may be separated and spaced apart from one another in a direct transverse to a plane defined by any one of the circular grooves (e.g., a “vertical” direction), by one or more interposed annular ring walls.

Abstract: A pie pan has a sidewall configured with a cut-out wall section that is held up and in place during packaging and/or baking of a pie, which can be folded down prior to serving the pie to improve access for removal of a first slice of pie. A method of making the pan from a foil sheet includes cutting out the wall section, and forming a releasable connection between the wall section and the remainder of the pan. Forming the releasable connection may include reducing a diameter of the remainder of the pan, nesting the wall section against an outside of the remainder of the pan, and curling a rim of the remainder of the pan over an overlapping portion of a rim of the wall section. This curling operation may create a rim of the wall section slideably engaged inside a rim of the remainder of the pan.

Abstract: A machine for finishing automotive wheels having a rotatable turret, a plurality of containers or barrel cages journaled on the turret capable of selective rotation independent of the turret, with cartridges loaded into said containers or cages from the end through openings in the turret and fixtures in the containers that stably hold automotive wheels in said containers for selective reception of said media. The wheels are held in stable position by a fixture that comprises two part cushioned supports for permitting selective reception of media about the surface of the wheel that requires finishing. The cartridges may be loaded in and out of the barrel cages by means of a conveyor system.
