  • Patent number: 9782709
Abstract: An air filter arrangement for use in a truck pneumatic product transfer system using a generally rectangular housing and two air filter cartridges to alter the shape thereof (primarily reduce the width thereof) allowing the unit to be mounted centrally behind a truck cab or in other locations. The design and shape allows mounting on the truck in preferred areas that are less utilized for accessory equipment and can increase truck aerodynamics. Additionally the filter arrangement can reduce overall truck weight compared to traditional units.

  • Patent number: 6089348
Abstract: A blower noise silencer comprises both an air turbulence stage and a noise absorption stage. The air turbulence stage includes a tubular screen enclosing a spiral vane wrapping around a central bore running through the air turbulence stage. The screen is surrounded by a hollow chamber. The noise absorption stage includes a hollow tubular screen surrounded by a chamber packed with sound dampening material. Each chamber in the silencer is closed other than through the screen that it surrounds whereas the screens open at one another and to opposite ends of the silencer to provide air flow movement into and out of the silencer.

  • Patent number: 5736049
Abstract: A method for controlling odor in a waste water lagoon comprises the steps of aerating a top horizontal layer of a lagoon adjacent its upper surface at a depth of approximately 12 to 24 inches by introducing air through a plurality of nozzles submerged in the layer to create a plurality of air bubbles in the layer. The nozzles are moved horizontally through the layer. A device for controlling the odor in waste water lagoons includes a support structure with an elongated boom operatively secured to the support structure and extending outwardly therefrom to operatively contact water in an adjacent lagoon. Compressed air is delivered through a plurality of downwardly extending nozzles on the boom into a layer of water on the top of the lagoon approximately 12 to 24 inches deep. Power elements are secured to the boom to cause the boom to move horizontally with respect to the lagoon while the compressed air is being delivered through the nozzles.

  • Patent number: 5215553
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved mechanical separator which is capable of continuous operation without clogging, which is capable of efficiently separating particulate material from a gaseous medium such as air in such a manner that the collected particulate material may be salvaged, and which apparatus is environmentally friendly in that it cleans gases such as air in a highly efficient manner while at the same time saving potentially valuable products which would otherwise be mainly lost.

  • Patent number: 5125771
Abstract: A portable pneumatic conveyor for various bulk materials includes a hopper which supplies the bulk material to a feed tube. The feed tube is provided with a feed auger which advances the bulk material along the feed tube and into a chamber through which a current of air is passed by way of air inlet and air outlet lines connected to that chamber. The bulk material which is deposited within the chamber is fluidized by the air current and carried by the air current through the air line outlet and along the outlet conveying line to a storage site, such as a silo. In order to prevent air blow-back through the feed tube and alongside the auger, the outlet end of the feed tube is provided with a gate which is intended to at least partly close when the flow of bulk material into the chamber slows down or stops.
